Chapter 116 - The Satisfaction

Chóng Fēi's POV:

'Ah..fuck..is he now really proving that I shouldn't believe in him too much?'

'I thought he really does have a problem with mood swings.'

'My heart..or stomach would have gotten a big, great hole by now..'

Chóng Fēi couldn't hear any sound around him or think too far right now. He felt like dying..yet also not. Perhaps if the tool had entered totally somewhere solid, it wouldn't have been this painful.

And this one? It just gave him massages: it hurts, It hurts and it hurts.

His head stayed over Lìngxiāo's shoulder and his hand over his stomach without looking down. Not like he had a phobia of blood. But if he saw how much injured he had gotten over here, his body might shut down itself.

He had been injured a lot of times fighting for that throne and clan—so much that his blood had no water in it right now. But this..was the largest one right now.

It had gone from the very side so he wouldn't die. But it was still painful. The even more dangerous thing was how his father would react after coming back. Not like he would only blame Lìngxiāo, but also him—because he had brought him along with himself all the time.

It took him a moment to focus elsewhere. The first thing he noticed was Lìngxiāo's wide, horrified eyes—which were surely trying to keep composure, but the way his skin had gotten pale with worry made it feel like he was the one losing blood. His smile twitching with pure distress.

The fight they were having had stopped as if fated into mist. The curse had strangely disappeared without leaving a trace. Lìngxiāo's all three curses had come here too, hovering over them with expressions of panic and disbelief.

He blinked a few times. His vision felt like it whitened at the edges. Not like he was getting close to unconsciousness, but because his head was spinning—and he couldn't properly get unconscious from that injury like the last time.

Even now, his mind caught up on details he wasn't supposed to think. His senses were still numb.

'Strange.'

'I'm literally heavy on his lap yet he hasn't run away like the way he did just by me having a panic reaction.'

'Maybe he is comfortable with panics more than comfort..'

'I must have..scared him to his very core of professionalism—that's how he is panicking. Because if I die, he might have a bad reputation.'

"Gōngzǐ, why are you not responding?!" Lìngxiāo called again. His voice hushed but panicked. He was shaking him, still keeping him on his lap.

"The tool had not gone too deep into his body, Gōngzǐ! Please calm down yourself too!" Mō Qīn said to Lìngxiāo, trying to comfort him.

"No. He is not speaking to me! How am I supposed to calm down?!" Lìngxiāo said in anxiety. His hair a little wild over his chest.

Chóng Fēi didn't speak, though he could hear all. It felt almost cruel of him that Lìngxiāo's anxiety over him felt..satisfying. All the time this guy acted like he wasn't any normal human—and then showed off that he was a really simple man.

Suddenly, as always, strange dramatic ideas came to his mind. His mind searched for similar scenes like this one to act on—though the crazy idea in a difficult situation was probably a strange thought. But he couldn't help it. That guy had amazed him first by slapping hard across the face that he would have lost a few teeth, ran into mountain valleys or rooftops without explanation at the most unexpected times.

He had kept him on his toes for a while. And now his body was demanding a little rest. Not like he only had some conversations—but an ugly fight with those pedophile, gay guards to teach them a lesson, and even killed a few. His jaw hurt from saying too many curses non-stop while Lìngxiāo was taking air into the rooftops.

'The children are also fine..probably. It would not hurt if I act up a little.'

'I don't know why seeing him panic like a human is so fun.'

'I wonder if it is also the side-effect of the tool. Am I really supposed to act this way right now?'

'I just know this is the best feeling ever—when you have an untouchable status but then suddenly a flip changes everything, proves that you are not any piece of fallen god.'

'I should go along without giving away much.'

Though even with the 'almost' dangerous stab—he felt like crazy for feeling like he would break into a laugh.

While the curses were having a really deep conversation with Lìngxiāo and trying to keep him conscious, Chóng Fēi rolled his head aside, eyes kept rolled inside, and made his saliva drop from the corner of his mouth.

'I hope my cheek is not burning.'

'This much should be enough.'

The moment he acted this way, Lìngxiāo panicked more. So did his curses.

"MŌ QĪN, DO IT AGAIN. NOW!" Lìngxiāo ordered Mō Qīn like begging for something Chóng Fēi couldn't quite tell.

But that was clear: whatever it was..it had been used before too. In him. Or just..because it was used by his curse before.

"I cannot do it again, Gōngzǐ! You should be glad that I am not dead yet!!" Mō Qīn insisted.

"Serpent. And others! Anyone! Do it!!" Lìngxiāo ordered his other curses this time.

"Sorry, darling, I had kept it for you only. Not any other stubborn man." Serpent mumbled, biting one nail, pouting sadly.

"What?! He needs it more. I am ordering you, Serpent!" Lìngxiāo's anxiety was eating him up.

"But he is not dying to do! Just a little stab!" Serpent said again.

"Came out from behind—it looks LITTLE?!" Lìngxiāo's eyes widened. "And you?" He turned to the three-eyed one.

"I am not much strong to do it." The three-eyed one also insisted quietly, showing his head.

"I do not have my own safety net at all. It was used highly once in my life. I might actually die if I try to heal even his single wound." The eight-eyed one said with a sigh.

Lìngxiāo groaned a bit loudly. Actually did.

Chóng Fēi almost didn't recognize it. That was a really great proof that he could really crack anyone untouchable if he wished.
