Deep within the Spirit Hall, the atmosphere was thick with tension. Inside the Pope's Bedchamber, Bibi Dong sat in silence, her expression a mix of frustration and disbelief.
It was truly ridiculous. No matter where or when, as long as that trash Yu Xiaogang was mentioned, she and Liu Erlong were inevitably dragged into the conversation to be mocked.
It felt like a lifelong, indelible stain on her reputation. What bothered her most was the hypocrisy; she had kindly shared her knowledge with these newcomers, only for them to stab her in the back.
In the group chat, Su Yan decided to add more fuel to the fire. He pointed out that Yu Xiaogang was even more useless than everyone imagined. He explained that while Tang Ya cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill, a normal Blue Silver Grass user would have their path as a Spirit Master ruined by such a technique. He also noted that Tang San had twin spirits and could have used one for support and the other for combat, yet Yu Xiaogang failed to optimize that potential.
Su Yan compared Yu Xiaogang to his own grandfather, Old Jack, a simple farmer. He recalled Old Jack saying that a spirit is like a seed planted in a person's heart, waiting for the Spirit Awakening to stop its sleep. Su Yan admitted that while he had an idol in his heart during his own awakening, his poor physique caused the process to fail, leaving him with a mutated spirit and a measly innate spirit power of 0.25.
The chat immediately erupted with playful roleplay. Liu Erlong mimicked Bibi Dong, questioning how someone with such low spirit power could ever be with the Holy Maiden of Spirit Hall.
Tang Yuehua played along as Hu Liena, begging for a blessing on their love. Liu Erlong then joked about locking Hu Liena in a secret chamber. However, Group Member Number Nine pointed out that the plot was wrong; it was Su Yan who should be locked away.
Dugu Yan laughed, suggesting that if Bibi Dong locked Su Yan up, she might accidentally fall for him. The Shadow Cat joked about a master and disciple fighting over the same man. Bibi Dong finally snapped, telling them all to shut up, while Tang Ya laughed at the chaos.
Back in the Star Dou Great Forest, Su Yan allowed himself a moment to fantasize about the ridiculous scenarios they were describing. He imagined a story where he and Hu Liena eloped, only to be captured by an angry Bibi Dong who ended up having triplets with him. In his mental draft, Qian Renxue would return to Spirit Hall and join forces with Hu Liena to defeat Bibi Dong, only to also fall for him, despite him being the father of her younger siblings.
Shaking off the daydream, Su Yan returned to the technical discussion. He explained that a spirit's quality is essentially tied to the owner's physique. A strong physique allows a spirit to thrive, while a weak one causes it to mutate.
He noted that most spirits are stronger than they appear, which is why using an Immortal Herb can trigger an evolution.
Even a "trash" spirit can become powerful with the right herb or the correct spirit ring. This was the same principle behind Tang Ya's Blue Silver Grass mutating into Dark Blue Silver Grass; despite her mistakes in choosing spirit rings, her years of practicing the Mysterious Heaven Skill gave her the foundation for that mutation.
At the Moon Pavilion, Tang Yuehua felt a surge of hope. She wondered if the only thing stopping her from becoming a real Spirit Master was the lack of a suitable Immortal Herb. She asked Su Yan directly if an herb would allow her to finally cultivate, and Liu Erlong asked if one could help her spirit evolve into the Golden Holy Dragon. Su Yan confirmed it was possible.
However, Su Yan then shifted the focus back to Tang Ya, whom he called the Blue Silver Saintess, claiming she had a hole in her brain. Tang Ya was furious, feeling insulted after already being misled by Yu Xiaogang's theories. Liu Erlong told her to just trust Su Yan's judgment, while Bo Saixi admitted she couldn't refute his bluntness. Su Yan added that Tang Ya reminded him of the daughter of Tang San and Xiao Wu, though her fate was sadly similar to Bai Chenxiang's.
This comment caught the attention of Xiao Wu in the Star Dou Great Forest. She was speechless and angry, wondering why she was being dragged into the gossip. Nearby, Zhu Zhuqing and the others looked at her curiously, realizing Xiao Wu had a deeper background than they knew.
Su Yan then detailed the fall of the Tang Sect. Ten thousand years in the future, the sect had declined until only Tang Ya and her parents remained. The Iron Blood Sect had bribed city officials and raided the Tang Sect, killing Tang Ya's parents and seizing their land, leaving Tang Ya as the sole survivor. Su Yan challenged Tang Ya to explain how the great Tang Sect went bankrupt under her watch.
Tang Ya's expression turned grim as she defended her sect. She blamed the rise of spirit tools from the Sun Moon Empire for the decline of the Tang Sect's hidden weapons. She insisted that hidden weapons like the Avalokitesvara's Tear were still superior, as they could even pierce the heart of a god like Qian Renxue.
The chat was skeptical. A member from the Sun Moon Empire mocked her, noting that her "superior" weapons didn't stop her from being chased away. Bibi Dong also sensed a logical flaw. She pointed out that even if spirit tools were more valuable, it didn't make hidden weapons worthless.
If hidden weapons were powerful enough to kill a Titled Douluo, it made no sense for the sect to vanish almost entirely. Liu Erlong agreed, noting that even if they were slightly inferior to new tools, they shouldn't have led to the total collapse of the sect.
