In the world of Soul Land 2, Shrek Academy was currently filled with a heavy atmosphere. Tang Ya felt like she was on the verge of tears as she watched the chat screen. She looked up at the sky and silently pleaded with her ancestors. She wanted to ask them to spare her from the embarrassment that was unfolding. She felt like her heart was being squeezed as the reputation of her beloved academy was dragged through the mud.
Ma Xiaotao let out a long, heavy sigh in the chat. She sent a message saying that she did not even want to mention Shrek Academy anymore. She wondered how Zhang Lexuan still had the courage to question Su Yan after everything they had seen. Bai Chenxiang chimed in, noting that Ma Xiaotao seemed to have grown much smarter and more aware of the situation lately.
Bibi Dong, the Pope of Spirit Hall, watched the discussion with interest. She commented that she was starting to understand things more clearly now. She pointed out that Shrek Academy seemed to have many strange and problematic people. She mentioned the Holy Spirit Cult's Grand Elder, known as the Chicken Leg Douluo, and the teacher Zhou Yi, who was famous for expelling students for no good reason. She asked how Su Yan could possibly have a good impression of such a place.
Winter Cutie agreed with this sentiment. She realized that Su Yan's dislike for Shrek Academy was not just because of Tang San or Yu Xiaogang. It seemed that the academy itself had deep, internal issues that could not be ignored. Even Bo Saixi, who lived far away, expressed her confusion. She said she did not know much about whether Spirit Hall was good, but she felt that Shrek Academy was truly acting in a ridiculous way.
Zhang Lexuan felt dazed as she read these comments. She tried to defend her home, saying that Teacher Zhou Yi was actually a good person at heart. She also argued that Elder Xuan did not make mistakes on purpose and that he had already realized what he did wrong.
The response from the rest of the group was immediate. Everyone sent question marks, showing their complete disbelief. Yanzi is not a Swallow asked Ma Xiaotao if her sister was a bit slow in the head. Cat in the Shadows added a biting comment, asking if "realizing the mistake" just meant he would do it again next time. Ning Rongrong, the Nine Treasures Little Princess, simply sent a sarcastic 666, while Loves Eating Carrots told Zhang Lexuan that she had cultivated her brain into an idiot.
At the Rose Hotel, Su Yan was coming downstairs with Zhuqing. They were planning to go to the restaurant to have a meal with Ning Rongrong and the others. Su Yan looked at the chat on his screen and felt speechless. He thought that Zhang Lexuan really was a bit slow. It seemed she had been turned into a mechanical successor for Shrek by Mu En, unable to think for herself.
Su Yan decided to speak his mind. He told the group that he really hated teachers who only cared about grades. He mentioned that he had met teachers like that before who treated a student's score as the only measure of their worth. He said it was a long and unpleasant story.
However, Su Yan also noted that he had met good teachers in his life. He explained that a good teacher should have strong values. They should be able to cultivate students to have the right morals and help them find their individual strengths. He felt a teacher should never belittle a student or call them worthless just because of a few mistakes.
Su Yan's words became even more direct. He told Zhang Lexuan that Shrek Academy, both in the past and now, only cared about so-called geniuses and monsters. In his eyes, such an academy was just a pile of trash. He saw nothing in it that was worth bragging about.
He continued by saying that a truly great teacher is one who can take a student with average talent and turn them into a capable person. To him, the teachers who help people contribute to the continent are the ones who deserve respect. He looked at the current state of Shrek Academy and saw that almost everyone there was a member of the imperial nobility or had powerful connections. He felt that the students there had broken values, often resorting to cheating or even killing during competitions.
Su Yan then brought up a future event that made everyone pause. He mentioned that in the upcoming plot, a student named Dai Huabin would plot to assassinate Huo Yuhao. Even more shocking was that Dai Huabin would not be severely punished. Instead, the academy would let him keep representing them in competitions. Su Yan asked if the academy was just afraid of offending the powerful family behind the boy, or if they simply thought that having good character was not important.
Deep within Spirit Hall, in the Pope's Bedchamber, Bibi Dong sat at her dressing table. She did not know whether she should laugh or cry at the news. She put aside the question of whether Spirit Hall was good or bad for a moment and simply concluded that Shrek Academy was truly garbage.
Hu Liena was also shocked by the revelation. She could not believe that someone could try to kill the child of destiny and face no real consequences. Yanzi is not a Swallow sent another 666 in response. Another member said that Ma Xiaotao was right to stay quiet, because every time Shrek was mentioned, it just made them look worse.
Dark Avenger, who was actually the master of the child of destiny, was furious. He demanded to know who Dai Huabin was and why he would try to kill his favorite disciple. Xiao Xiao, who was a student in the same year, explained that Dai Huabin was one of their classmates and came from the famous Dai Family of the Star Luo Empire.
Back at Shrek Academy in the Dou 2 World, Ma Xiaotao felt like her head was spinning. She looked at her sister, Zhang Lexuan, and wondered why she had to provoke Su Yan. She begged Zhang Lexuan to apologize quickly and ask Su Yan to stop talking about the academy.
Zhang Lexuan was completely dumbfounded. Even though some of the things Su Yan mentioned had not happened in her timeline yet, she had read the chat history three times as instructed. She could tell that Su Yan was not someone who lied or talked nonsense. She began to wonder if the Shrek Academy she loved was actually different from the reality he was describing. She had been very diligent and really did read the history three times!
Liu Erlong joined in, asking Ma Xiaotao what the harm was in letting Su Yan continue. Another member, who called himself an orphan, said that the academy had already rotted to the core, so they might as well let the truth come out. Ma Xiaotao felt like giving up. She wondered if it was already time to just let everything go to hell.
Hoping to save some face, Ma Xiaotao tried to change the subject. She noted it was early morning and asked if there was any other gossip for the day. This made several members laugh. Yanzi is not a Swallow remembered that Su Yan had promised some big gossip about Mu En after the group chat upgraded.
Ma Xiaotao and Zhang Lexuan both sent question marks, feeling a new sense of dread. Ning Rongrong laughed, saying that Ma Xiaotao's attempt to change the subject only led to more talk that would indirectly bash Shrek Academy.
Su Yan went back to the topic of the world's structure. He explained that in the Dou 2 World, Shrek Academy was no longer just a school. It was like an autonomous city that did not follow the laws of any country, much like Spirit City once was. However, he argued that compared to the old Spirit Hall, Shrek was nothing. He admitted there were bad people in Spirit Hall, but he believed they were still better than the imperial nobles who treated commoners like slaves.
Su Yan then made a surprising proposal to Bibi Dong. He asked her to commend a lowly deacon from the Nuoding City Branch Hall named Su Yuntao. He explained that Su Yuntao traveled through small villages all year to awaken the spirits of common children. He never took anything from the poor and always did his job with a sense of duty.
The people in the chat were confused. Bibi Dong herself had no idea who Su Yuntao was. She asked Su Yan how he wanted her to reward this person. Yanzi is not a Swallow guessed that Su Yan's own spirit must have been awakened by this man. Another member joked that if that were the case, Su Yuntao deserved the highest merit possible.
Lingyuan, a high-ranking member of Spirit Hall, wondered if she should also start helping villagers awaken their spirits if it led to such high praise. Su Yan laughed and referred to Su Yuntao as Brother Tao. He joked that because Brother Tao once called a future God King "useless," he was actually the legendary "Blind Douluo." Su Yan suggested giving him an Outstanding Employee Award. He insisted that it should be a real reward, not just words. He reminded everyone about the Whale Glue, Profound Water Pills, and Soul Breaking Pills he had mentioned before. He told Bibi Dong that since there was plenty of Whale Glue in their world, she should give some to Su Yuntao. He wanted to help the man finally break through level thirty.
Su Yan said that if it was too hard for Spirit Hall to give him everything, they should just give what they could. He promised that he would personally make up for any missing rewards later. As the conversation continued, Yu Xiaogang sat in silence, his mind filled with confusion and question marks as he listened to Su Yan praise a random deacon while ignoring him.
