A sharp, melodic chime echoed from everyone's watches at exactly six AM.
The morning sun rose early, cutting through the thin curtains of Room 300's window.
Syril sat up, his gaze immediately shifting to the bed by the window.
It was empty. The sheets were pulled tight, perfectly flat, as if no one had ever slept there.
Lucas Thorne was gone.
"He's an early bird, I guess," Adam muttered, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he sat up. He looked toward the empty bed, then back at Syril. "Or he just didn't want to walk with us."
Jax was already on his feet, his black ponytail already secured.
"You guys good?" Jax said whilst yawning.
He grabbed a simple towel and headed toward their small bathroom.
They took turns and prepared in a comfortable, quiet rhythm.
In few minutes they were done and set to go, dressed in casual wear and carrying their mandatory watch on their wrists.
