Vali POV
He wanted to be strong, to face strong opponent so that he could push the boundaries of his strength.
That had been the primary reason he had agreed to this mission, A Longinus and one of the Cadre from the Great War were among the adversaries.
Opponents he wouldn't need to hold back against and grow stronger himself.
And maybe he did find one, one which who wasn't of the two aforementioned group, though as soon as hostilities were detected both sides chose peace with each other. Instead opting to face a common enemy together.
Truly a shame.
How rare was it find an opponent that was similar to him in age, yet could even best one of the 13 Longinus.
And from what he knew and understood of the encounter, the battle was completely one sided. That shark had lost before he could even realize it, whereas the dog had his sacred gear immobilized.
All that done by one who didn't even have a Longinus while being a human to boot.
[That human is interesting.] A voice called out in his mind, one that he knew very well of.
His partner, Albion, one of the Two Heavenly Dragons that resided within his Longinus.
'So even you find him to be intriguing, Albion.'
[That I do, though probably not for the same reason as you.] The voice said, confusion evident in his voice?
[There's something unsettling about that boy, though for the life of me I can't recall why.]
That was probably the highest praise the Exorcist could have gotten, or could ever get, if even Albion of all people him unsettling….
A dragon who was feared among Angels, Fallen Angels, Devils, and the various factions in the world for his destructive powers, said to be able to kill both Gods and Satans alike.
One of the two dragons that had attacked the leaders of the Three Biblical Factions by themselves, found a human unsettling…
'Wait "recall"?'
[The feeling I can sense from that boy is something I knew of in the past, yet it's been so long and the presence is so faint that I can't recall where I felt it exactly…]
He couldn't help as a genuine smile spread across his face.

"Your birth was a miracle, Vali, having both Lucifer's bloodline and Longinus, you have almost unlimited potential. A rival equal to you at your age will be almost impossible."
"Why though, can't another miracle occur?"
"Trust me Vali, I have been there to see great a many Miracles and have stood by one who was the most known for his miracles, and I sincerely doubt another existence like you will come to be. At least not for the next few centuries." His foster father had told him.
"And it's not that I doubt there will be anyone like you, I simply doubt there will be another existence your age on the level as you with comparable talent."

If an existence his age is there that even unsettles a Dragon, stronger than all his ancestors, and managed to effortlessly beat a Longinus.
Surely he is like me?
Another Miracle..
[I don't know about being an existence like you, but I am sure he will be an important figure if he doesn't end up stagnating.]
That was true, that Exorcist simply didn't need to be on his level. The exorcist only needed to be willing to grow, then whatever unsettling part about him and his Scared Gear would grow in turn.
"We are here." A gruff voice call out, Barakiel's, bringing him out of his musings.
Just from looking from the outside, there did not appear to be any lights inside the houses.
The surrounding landscape consisted only of fields and mountains. After that, there was nothing but the darkness of the night.
There was light from the light poles that had been set up at regular intervals, but the light they produced was unreliable. Compared with the darkness covering the village, the light was entirely insufficient.
"Vali, are you okay with investigating the surround-" About to stand up and exit the car, ready to accept the tedious task a voice stopped.
"Sho? What do you sense?" He turned towards the Exorcist that had been the centre of his musing.
"A fallen about 5-10 minutes from here, similar to him." He answered his superiors, before turning towards Barakiel in the latter part.
"What? What does he mean?" Lavinia, who had been sitting between him and the Exorcist, questioned.
A query shared by all in the Car but the Exorcist duo, something that made him more fascinated.
"Sho here has an unnaturally heightened sense of smell, even able to estimate one's race and strength." The older Exorcist elaborated, exiting the vehicle. "That sense of smell is the reason we located and decided to investigate this area."
"How accurate is this?" Barakiel asked the most important question.
"90% of the time it works, the rest is when he suppresses it or has a flu."
"It must be Satanael then." The older fallen nodded at his words, none of the Cadre could be involved except Barakiel and the aforementioned fallen.

Third POV
"Listen, I-I am sorry for what happened back then." Tobio spoke up, bowing his head slightly along side Kouki.
"It's alright, it's in the past now." The young exorcist shrugged, surveying his surrounding. "Besides let's focus on the things at hand."
The older duo nodded their head, as they headed towards the mountain. Their next location.
They had separated from Barakiel and Kiyotora, who had gone on to handle Satanael, about 10 minutes ago.
And all they were seeing was the expansive Paddy field scenery.
All while the girls in the group seemed to having their own conversation, the centre being Shigune.
"You must have trained for very long, Sho-kun?" The only female Longinus user asked, causing the exorcist to raise his brows.
'She is too forward.'
"I guess so. It has been a few years since I joined the church."
"Wait you joined?" Natsume asked, from what they had been briefed the church usually recruited the Exorcists.
"My parents are traditional Buddhist, and none of them are part of super natural world." Sho humored the gryphon girl.
"How did you join the church then?" That was a question that caught everyone's attention, how could a boy who wasn't a part of supernatural world have joined the church of his choice?
Something even the Heavenly Dragon paid attention to, perhaps the reason might be of that strangeness he felt.
A sword manifested around him, and started to revolve around the exorcist.
"Thought I was cursed, and ended up going to the church." The Exorcist used the story he had come up with year ago.
That was the front of his past he had decided upon, and on some level it was true. He had initially considered Blade Blacksmith as a curse that wouldn't allow him and his family a normal life, though that was immediately thrown out the window after his realization who exactly Genshirou and the fact he too had a sacred gear.
So a normal life away from Supernatural World, was never an option to his family.
"That makes sense?"Tobio muttered, tilting his head.
Sho just chuckled at the reaction of everyone, though the magician's and Vali's expression was quite different.
Strange.
As soon as he finished his thoughts , a pair of arms surrounded me and buried me in pair of mountains.
The Exorcist's body was too paralyzed by the shock to respond to the perpetrator.
What?
"You must have had a tough time, Sho-Kun." The magician patted his head, as she smothered his head in her bosom. "Don't worry, I will help Sho-Kun."

The exorcist immediately pushed her away, whatever emotions he had immediately draining away, causing Lavinia fall to the ground.

The rest of the group seeing their friends fall, failed to notice what had just happened.
"Yo-" Before Vali could take any action a voice stopped him.
