Sophie carefully reviewed the guest list. Her eyes paused for a fraction of a second when she saw the line: Edward James Harrington and wife. A faint tremor passed through her heart, but she quickly regained her composure.
"Very good. Let's go greet the guests now." She glanced at her watch, exchanged a smile with Sunny, and the two of them turned together toward the crystal chandelier in the center of the lobby, where the salon's registration and welcome desk had already been prepared. Attendants would naturally escort arriving VIPs into the reception lounge.
It was not yet four o'clock, but guests had already begun to arrive one after another. Sophie and Sunny handled them with calm professionalism. Among the attendees were quite a few of Sophie's old clients from her time in the United States. Because they frequently traveled between the UK and the US for business and exchanges, they were all very familiar with one another.
