Eve Sherman followed behind Autumn Ellison, looking at her slender and graceful back, her heart somewhat in disarray.
She hadn't expected that Stellan Sutton, in order to help her out of a predicament, would send her here, only to encounter such a situation.
She opened her mouth, wanting to explain something, but then felt that the more she said, the more mistakes she might make, so it was better to stay quiet.
"Who are they?"
Autumn Ellison walked far ahead before coldly asking.
"They are my former colleagues, and the wife of my former boss."
"I've heard some things about you." Autumn Ellison cast a faint sidelong glance at her.
Eve Sherman silently took a deep breath and nodded, "I know."
"Though I sympathize with the plight of young women like you in the workplace, I still do not permit anything that could affect Stellan's reputation to happen."
Autumn Ellison's words were very clear; her speaking up earlier was only because it concerned Stellan Sutton.
