Inside the Matsuba Society headquarters manor, the current leader and second-in-command of the Matsuba Society were talking with several foreigners.
On the surface, they were a yakuza group in Japan, but in reality, they were an international broker organization that made money by selling information.
The clients of this Organization were spread across various forces around the world. As long as they were paid, they could work for anyone.
Just like the several Europeans and Americans in front of them, they knew these people were MI6 agents from England.
These agents had offered 10 million US dollars for them to find someone in Japan.
The task seemed simple, but it made the Matsuba Society leader wary.
Spending so much money just to find one person showed that this person was definitely not simple.
"Let's be frank. Who exactly are you looking for? Tell us the name first, and then we'll decide whether we can take the job."
The Matsuba Society leader smiled. This kind of thing should never be accepted before asking for the details of the task.
If he couldn't complete it, or if the task brought trouble to the Organization, that would be a serious problem.
The several MI6 agents exchanged glances and said, "We are looking for Sera Mary."
"Sera Mary?"
The Matsuba Society leader's expression changed in surprise, and he said knowingly, "No wonder you came to us. So your target is Mary."
"If Mary is really in Japan, then you really do need our help."
"Mary, that woman who almost became your top MI6 commander back then. Finding her is far too difficult."
The several MI6 agents said indifferently, "Speak. How much do you want?"
The Matsuba Society leader thought for a moment and replied, "Twenty million US dollars. If Mary is really in Tokyo, we can definitely find her."
"But let me say this in advance, we will only find her and tell you her location. If you want to take action against her, we will not help."
The Matsuba Society leader knew his limits. The combat power of an Organization like theirs, which survived by relying on intelligence, was only average.
If the MI6 people were careless and failed to solve the problem, and they accidentally offended that Queen of Agents, then the entire Organization might have to pay a huge price.
As for selling Mary's information, they weren't worried.
For an Organization like theirs, various forces generally wouldn't take major action against them, because who knew whether one day those same forces might also need this Organization to provide intelligence?
"Okay, as long as you tell us Mary's location, this task will be considered complete."
The Matsuba Society leader laughed and said, "Then, happy cooperation. Please pay a down payment of 5 million US dollars. You can trust our reputation, we won't just take the money and refuse to work."
Suddenly, a commotion broke out outside.
"What's going on? What's happening outside?"
The Matsuba Society leader frowned and scolded in a low voice.
The sliding door beside him opened, and a yakuza member in a suit knelt on the ground, lowered his head, and said, "Leader, it seems someone has broken in outside."
"Broken in? Is it those people from the Sumiyoshi-kai? This is our Matsuba Society territory, and we are the masters here. Go chop up those intruders and feed them to the dogs!"
"Yes!"
A group of yakuza members trained by the Matsuba Society came to the armory.
However, what they took were not firearms. Instead, each person took a katana.
Times had changed. Yakuza groups in Japan rarely fought to the death anymore.
As for firearms and the like, this wasn't America. Even a well-known yakuza group like theirs didn't have a firearms armory.
Fighting duels with katanas was already synonymous with hot-bloodedness.
"Follow me! Let those intruders know the might of our Matsuba Society!"
Some wore suits, some wore samurai outfits. These yakuza members drew their katanas, the gleaming blades reflecting the sunlight, and rushed out of the room with sinister smiles.
And in the next moment, they were all dumbfounded.
There stood two people in the courtyard, one man and one woman.
And the reason those two dared to break into the Matsuba Society headquarters with only two people, while facing more than a hundred yakuza members, was because what they held were not knives at all, not even pistols, but automatic shotguns!
"Hello!"
Toru smiled and greeted the people in front of him.
Just as the yakuza member holding a katana was briefly stunned, the shotgun in Toru's hand let out a thunderous roar, and the unfortunate yakuza member screamed and flew backward.
By the time he landed, his chest was already a bloody mess, covered in tiny holes. The yakuza member lay on the ground trembling all over, and for the moment, he had not completely died yet.
The miserable state of that poor yakuza member made the others cry out in alarm, throw away their katanas, and run toward the house while wailing.
"They're not playing fair, they're using guns!"
"Run!"
"Hurry and get guns!"
Even during the most rampant period of Japan's yakuza, everyone usually used handguns, and an ordinary shotgun was already considered invincible.
But now, this was the 21st century, a civilized society, and there were still people using automatic shotguns for gang warfare.
Most importantly, those two bastards had even brought drum magazines!
Toru and Mary moved as if no one was around them, their automatic shotguns firing wildly.
With every shot, a yakuza member was blasted full of holes.
Some hid behind wooden boards, but how could those thin boards withstand the power of a shotgun? They were blown apart, person and board together.
Someone worked up the courage, charged forward shouting with a katana raised in both hands, only for Toru to raise his gun and blow his head apart, turning his face into a hornet's nest.
The yakuza members cried out miserably. None of them were a match for Toru and Mary.
They even cursed Japan's wooden architectural style, because this stuff couldn't stop bullets at all.
If it had been reinforced concrete walls, then at least those bullets wouldn't have been able to penetrate.
Finally, a few yakuza members ran out with guns.
However, all the guns they carried were handguns. There wasn't even a single rifle.
Seeing this, Toru threw the empty shotgun to the ground and pulled another AK from the backpack on his back, one fitted with a drum magazine.
"Da da da!"
7.62mm bullets poured out. As long as it was a living person, Toru didn't let a single one go.
The armed yakuza members were beaten into a corner, unable to call on heaven or earth for help, crying out in terror.
These Matsuba Society members had previously frightened Haruno and Yukino at the library, and had also ruined Sakiko's family, turning her from a young lady into a customer service representative. Toru could be considered to have avenged them.
They slaughtered their way through, leaving a trail of corpses lying in pools of blood across the ground.
Some other Matsuba Society members sensed that things were going badly and ran away immediately. Toru and Mary were too lazy to chase them.
Mary glanced toward the innermost room and said, "The MI6 agents are in there."
"Could they be your old friends?" Toru asked with a smile.
"Highly likely."
"Then next, you'll have to kill your old friends."
"In our line of work, you have to be prepared to kill your colleagues at any time."
Mary said coldly.
"Then will there ever be a day when you want to kill me?"
Toru asked, raising an eyebrow.
Mary glanced at him. "No, because we're not colleagues. Besides, if that day ever came, it's more likely that you'd kill me."
"Ah, Mary, you underestimate yourself too much."
"Hmph, you might threaten me with my daughter, and I could only surrender, but if I threatened your family, I estimate you wouldn't care at all."
"Why do you make me sound so heartless?"
Toru shrugged. He felt Mary had misunderstood him.
But that was fine too. If others thought he was too emotional, that would be troublesome instead.
The two came to the door of the room. As soon as they pulled open the sliding door, they saw a cold glint flash from the corner of their eye, and a sharp dagger stabbed toward Toru's throat.
Toru chuckled lightly. His speed was even faster than his opponent's. He grabbed the wrist and twisted it in the opposite direction.
Crack!
The MI6 agent screamed. His wrist joint had been broken by Toru.
Right after that, Toru seized the man's hand and pressed it back. The sharp blade slid into his throat as easily as if it were stabbing tofu.
His windpipe was pierced, and the MI6 agent vomited blood as his body slid to the floor.
Toru pulled the short knife from his throat and threw it back. It pierced another agent's wrist, and the handgun in that man's hand also fell to the ground.
Toru took a step forward, sidestepped, and delivered a flying kick. His leg was like a cannonball as it smashed directly into the opponent's chest.
Toru kicked with all his might, and that unfortunate agent became the first person in history to face a kick beyond the limits of human ability. His whole body flew into the air, knocking over several screens and flying out like something from a Hollywood movie.
The man lay on the ground, unable to get up again. His ribs had been completely shattered, and the bone fragments had turned his internal organs into minced meat.
Mary, who had subdued another MI6 agent with a joint lock, saw the power of Toru's kick, and the corner of her mouth twitched.
If that kick had landed on her, even her well-trained body probably wouldn't have been able to withstand it. She would either be dead or crippled.
Is this guy really human? Could he be a robot modified by the CIA through special surgery?
That force had already exceeded the limits of human muscle.
"Don't kill me, don't kill me."
The leader and second-in-command of the Matsuba Society knelt on the ground, begging for mercy, looking at the Mexican in front of them with terrified expressions.
Since when had such a powerful Mexican appeared in this world? How was it that they, who dealt in intelligence, didn't know?
Toru drew the katana hanging on the wall. He stepped on the Matsuba Society leader, who was lying on the ground, raised the sword, and chopped down hard, performing a kaishaku.
The second-in-command watched as the boss's head was chopped off, screamed in terror, and scrambled to flee.
Toru flipped his wrist, gripped the hilt, and threw the katana like a spear. It pierced into the second-in-command's back, pinning him to the wall.
"My mission is complete. Don't forget to transfer the rest of the commission, Mary."
Toru clapped his hands as he deliberately said this.
He knew those MI6 agents were carrying equipment, and everything happening here could be seen by MI6 headquarters.
