Toru rested his hands behind his head, with only a fist's distance between him and Misumi.
The two stopped talking and simply looked quietly at the scattered stars on the screen. The brilliant starlight formed a galaxy, and the magnificent river of stars came into view, shaking their hearts and making them feel the endless charm of the cosmos.
The entire venue was very quiet, with only the solemn narration from the side, telling the story of every star in the sky and introducing the past and present of each constellation.
The planetarium show lasted about an hour. Toru and Misumi lay on the soft sofa like this, quietly enjoying this moment of peace, easing the heavy pressure in their hearts.
When the show was about to end, Toru felt something. He slightly turned his head, and just then, Misumi also turned her head to look at him.
The girl's beautiful amethyst-like eyes, illuminated by the scattered starlight in the darkness of the venue, were like two of the most beautiful stars.
Their faces were very close, so close that they could even smell each other's breath. The girl's fragrance was light and sweet, and her slightly red lips looked extremely tempting in the darkness, as if tempting someone to taste their faint sweetness.
However, Toru restrained this temptation. His relationship with Misumi had not reached the point where they could kiss each other. If he really kissed her, he was afraid he would scare the girl.
For Toru, he preferred to cast a long line to catch a big fish, choosing a long-term future rather than momentary pleasure.
And as a successful and steady man, knowing how to restrain his inner desires was already a required lesson.
Being so close, even the calm and gentle Misumi suddenly felt her heart quicken, and a faint blush appeared on her fair and flawless face.
She carefully moved her gaze back, looking at the starry sky above her head again.
Their current posture and atmosphere were too ambiguous. The planetarium's entrance advertisement saying it was suitable for couples to watch together had not been lying.
Especially on the soft sofa couple seats, it was even easier to create a romantic mood for both sides.
After the show ended, Misumi also calmed the panic in her heart and stood up steadily.
Her snow-white feet, wearing boat socks, put on her white casual shoes again.
When working, Misumi mostly wore high heels, but wearing high heels too much made her feet hurt, so in daily life, Misumi preferred these kinds of casual sports shoes.
Leaving the planetarium, without the cool air inside, the summer heat wave rushed over, and her recently calmed state of mind became a little restless again.
Misumi asked with a smile, "Toru-kun, do you want to go eat a late-night snack? It's my treat~."
"Are you trying to bribe your boss in advance?"
Toru asked jokingly.
Misumi had already decided to join Sakiko's band, and even the contract had been signed.
As the investor in the band, although Toru did not want to manage things, he was indeed the band's boss.
Misumi raised her eyebrows and suddenly smiled. "If I could bribe the boss just by treating him to a late-night snack, that would be great."
"You don't have work tomorrow?"
Toru did not get excited about the girl's treat, but asked with concern instead.
Misumi replied, "It's the same as usual. I go to school early in the morning. If I'm lucky and don't have too many announcements or performances that day, I can stay until after school before going to the company."
"If I'm busy with work, I might have to take leave in the afternoon and go straight to my announcements. Fortunately, my teacher is quite supportive of my work. Otherwise, I might really have to give up one of the two, studying or working."
There was something else Misumi did not say, and that was that the only thing she could give up was studying.
After all, the cost of living in Tokyo was high. If she did not work as an idol, she would have no income and could not survive in Tokyo at all.
If that were the case, she would be like ordinary artists, only able to find time to attend a night university and get a degree after her career was completely stable.
But Misumi still hoped that she could graduate from high school and even get into a good university.
"It's indeed a bit hard to work while studying at the same time. You seem fine now, but Misumi, you almost have dark circles under your eyes."
Toru's words startled Misumi. She quickly took out the small mirror she carried with her and looked at herself.
Toru was exaggerating a little. Misumi did not have severe dark circles, but her once bright eyes were indeed a little duller than before.
Under her busy workload, she had been overdrawing her young body.
Misumi was silent. Thinking that she had also promised Sakiko she would participate in band performances later, her heart wavered as well.
Two jobs plus studying. Even if Misumi had superhuman stamina, she probably would not be able to keep it up.
Did she really have to give up one or two of them?
But Misumi was not willing to give up. She did not want to give up any of them.
Let's try first. She had to believe that she could definitely persevere.
The girl, who had been strong-willed since childhood, cheered herself on in her heart.
She pursed her lips and smiled. "Toru-kun, your words just now scared me to death. I don't have any obvious dark circles at all."
"But Toru-kun, you also have to go to school and work, and the work you do is mental labor, so it should be even more tiring, right? Do you have any secrets you can share?"
"Secret?"
(To be continued.)
