Chapter 333 - Chapter 334: Absolutely Cannot!

Rustling sounds came from the washroom. The sound of running water had stopped long ago, but Fumino still had not come out.

It was not until another half hour had passed that the washroom door was finally pushed open.

Toru, who was sitting on the sofa reading the documents in his hand, looked up. At this moment, Fumino looked exactly the same as when she had first arrived at his office.

Her beautiful hair was styled high, and her appearance, which resembled Haruno and Yukino, looked graceful and noble. She had put her kimono back on, there was not a single visible trace of what had happened on her body, and even her makeup looked exactly the same as before.

Yet during the nearly two hours of madness earlier, her beautiful hair had long since come undone and become disheveled.

After spending an hour washing and tidying herself up, Fumino had once again restored her original appearance.

There was still a faint smell of smoke in the room, but Toru had already opened the window, allowing the thin smoke to disperse.

Fumino held a high-end women's handbag in her hands. With her head held high and her posture elegant, she said to Toru, "Fujiwara-san, I hope you will keep your promise."

Her eyes were sharp, as though warning Toru that if he did not keep his promise, she would expose him.

Toru chuckled inwardly. Given Fumino's personality and how much she valued her dignity, even if he did not keep his promise, she would most likely suffer in silence and pretend that this matter had never happened.

However, Toru was not that kind of treacherous person. He nodded slightly. "Fumino, you don't need to worry. I rarely make promises, but once I make one, I always fulfill it."

"Of course, the condition is that you must also keep your promise."

Fumino glanced at him coldly. "I hope you will keep your word. As for my promise, you can rest assured that I will not break it."

Because you enjoyed yourself too... Toru muttered inwardly. He smiled and said, "Then, Fumino, take care."

Fumino did not need Toru to see her off and left directly.

Only after Fumino's figure disappeared and the door closed did Toru rise from the sofa and return to his desk.

As for Fumino, he did not particularly like her personality. If she were not Haruno and Yukino's mother, Toru would not have been willing to help her at all.

Perhaps Fumino herself did not know that the reason Toru was willing to make this deal with her was not because of her own charm, but because of Haruno and Yukino.

After all, a mother and two daughters, all three of them exceptional beauties with considerable social standing. Even if Toru searched the entire world, he would not find many families like them.

"It's just that she knows too few tricks. I'll have to teach her myself. Yukiko is still better. That little devil of a woman knows far more."

Toru muttered to himself.

He thought for a moment, then called his private bank's customer service and asked them to prepare a transfer.

At the same time, Toru picked up his phone, hesitated briefly, and then called Eri.

A verbal agreement was useless. What he needed was a written agreement. Therefore, this debt had to be witnessed by a lawyer for it to have legal effect.

Toru only hesitated over whether he should ask Eri to handle the matter. He had just slept with Fumino, and then asking Eri to deal with the agreement might not be appropriate.

But after thinking about it, he and Eri were merely lovers. They were neither married nor officially dating. Moreover, Eri was a mature woman and would not make a fuss over such a minor matter.

She kept her work and private life separate, so Toru went ahead and called Eri, asking her to visit the Yukinoshita company's office the next day to sign the loan agreement.

Fumino remained graceful and dignified, making it completely impossible to tell that she had just engaged in a shameful transaction with Toru in his office.

She nodded slightly to the receptionist in the office building, returned to the parking lot, and got into the Mercedes sedan.

Fumino said in a deep voice to the driver, "Let's return to Chiba."

"Yes, Fumino-sama."

The female driver said nothing else, nor did she ask why Fumino had remained upstairs for so long. She simply drove steadily into the streets of Tokyo.

Not long after they set off, Fumino noticed a store nearby and quickly said, "Pull over by the side of the road."

After the car stopped, Fumino told the driver to wait there while she opened the door and entered the pharmacy.

Before long, Fumino returned to the car and told the driver to continue.

Inside Fumino's bag were levonorgestrel tablets.

Just as Fumino had told Toru earlier, she did not want to become pregnant or have any more children, but she had not undergone surgery either. In this emergency, she could only rely on medication.

She had already thrown the packaging into the pharmacy's trash can and kept only the tablets.

Fumino paid great attention to detail. If she accidentally brought the packaging home and one of her daughters saw it, it would be difficult to explain.

She picked up a nearby bottle of mineral water and swallowed the medicine. Then, Fumino fell into deep thought.

Taking this kind of medicine once or twice was fine, but taking it too often would harm her body.

It seemed she needed to go to the hospital and receive an injection of some special medication.

This type of medication caused very little harm to the body, especially the most advanced versions, which were even safer. The only drawback was the high price.

But to the Yukinoshita family, the so-called high price was nothing.

Just like that, Fumino returned home and anxiously waited for the next day to arrive.

The following morning, Fumino went nowhere else. She rushed to the company early.

Shortly after ten o'clock, someone from the company's finance department came to her and said excitedly, "Chairwoman, two billion yen has just been credited to the company's account. The note states that it is a loan."

Upon hearing this, Fumino finally felt relieved and asked for the name of the company that had transferred the money.

After investigating, she discovered that it was merely an intermediary company. Its ownership structure was extremely complicated and involved places such as the Cayman Islands, a well-known tax haven. It was most likely a shell company used by Toru to transfer funds.

"That man hides himself quite well."

Toru had kept his promise. The funds had arrived without any excuses, significantly improving Fumino's opinion of him. The exhaustion and immense pressure she had endured over the past month finally dissipated completely.

With this injection of capital, the Yukinoshita family's urgent problem was resolved, and the company could resume normal operations.

However, this time, Fumino would no longer put all her eggs in one basket. She planned to diversify and expand into several areas of business.

Although rebuilding the business would be exhausting for some time, the Yukinoshita family controlled a long-established company with decades of history, and its reputation remained intact. It could gradually return to the right track.

Fumino thought for a moment, then called her eldest daughter. "Haruno, you don't need to worry about the family's affairs anymore. I've already resolved everything. Focus on your studies."

Fumino felt relieved. Although she had sacrificed herself, the Yukinoshita family had been saved, and the life she currently enjoyed had also been preserved.

Just as Fumino was in a good mood, smirking as she thought about how she would mock the enemies who had been waiting to see her humiliated, Eri arrived at the company with the contract and asked to see her.
