An airplane quietly took off from Washington, flying toward an isolated overseas island in the Caribbean Sea that could not be found on any map.
On the plane, the current CIA Director, Spencer, was sitting on the soft sofa of this private jet, with a glass of champagne on the table in front of him.
He was typing on his laptop. The screen was filled with intelligence and media reports about the inside story of the Former President's assassination.
As the head of the world's largest intelligence organization, there were almost no secrets in this world that Spencer did not know.
At the very least, he could learn almost every secret of this era.
Precisely because of that, he knew in great detail what was happening inside the Secret Service, which led him to one conclusion.
"Adam is coming!"
Spencer's face was grim. As Toru's adoptive father, and as the CIA Director who had watched him grow up from a young age and arranged all of his training programs, there was probably no one in this world who understood Toru better than Spencer, or understood how terrifying he was.
It was also because of this that Spencer was afraid. Even staying inside the Central Intelligence Agency, Spencer did not feel safe at all. That was why he had boarded this intelligence agency plane and gone to a secret location to take refuge.
"Through internal sources, Adam should have already told the Former President that I sent someone to assassinate him."
"Given the Former President's vindictive nature, the reason he hasn't taken any action yet should be because he's preparing something. Once he takes office, he will definitely act against me."
"I can only stay in the Director's position for three more months at most. I must resolve everything within these three months."
Spencer clasped his hands beneath his chin, his unconsciously clenched fists revealing the tension in his heart.
He was not afraid of the Former President, because even if the Former President dealt with him, he would use methods within the rules. At most, he would remove him from the Director's position, or even prosecute him on bribery charges, but he would definitely not do it under the pretext of assassination.
The scandal of a CIA Director assassinating a presidential candidate absolutely could not be exposed. Both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party understood that very well.
So Spencer was not worried about the Former President. It would not cost him his life. At most, it would end his political career.
But Toru was different. That most terrifying monster in the history of the Central Intelligence Agency, one Spencer had personally trained, would definitely try every possible method to physically eliminate him. Toru truly wanted his life.
"Three months. I only have three months. I must find a way to make the Central Intelligence Agency treat Adam the same way they treated Bin Laden."
"I must make the Central Intelligence Agency invest all its resources and energy into this. Adam must be killed within three months, before the Former President takes office, or I'm dead for sure!"
Spencer's forehead was covered in cold sweat, and his pupils trembled slightly.
He was currently the CIA Director and could mobilize the Central Intelligence Agency's resources to protect himself. Spencer believed that under the full protection of the Central Intelligence Agency, his position as Director was safe.
But once he lost the position of Director, he would also lose the Central Intelligence Agency's protection. With Toru's abilities, killing him would be as easy as turning over his hand.
After thinking for a while, Spencer picked up the satellite phone and dialed Burns's number.
"Burns, I have important matters to attend to. I'll leave the internal affairs of the agency to you during this time. I believe you also understand the seriousness of the situation now. Adam won't let me go, and he won't let you go either."
"Use all your intelligence and wisdom. For the sake of your own life, mobilize every resource of the Central Intelligence Agency. You must kill Adam. If you don't want to die, you must do this."
After speaking, Spencer hung up directly without giving Burns a chance to reply.
Langley, Central Intelligence Agency, Deputy Director Burns's office.
Burns listened to the busy tone from his phone. He raised his head and looked at the person sitting opposite him.
Toru was sitting in the chair in front of Burns's desk, legs crossed, currently trimming his nails with a pair of nail clippers.
Noticing Burns looking over, he lightly raised his eyes and chuckled.
"It seems our Director Spencer has betrayed you."
Burns nodded with a grim expression.
Although he had long guessed that, with Spencer's personality, he would definitely betray him, he had not expected the other party to be so decisive and so thorough about it.
Spencer had run away himself and left the mess to him.
Burns now felt very relieved that he had listened to Toru's suggestion, become his subordinate, and also established a connection with the Former President.
Otherwise, in order to survive, Burns would indeed have had to try his best to eliminate Toru, just as Spencer had said.
If they succeeded, both of them would be safe. If they failed, Burns would definitely be the first to die.
Burns pulled up a world map on his computer and zoomed in on the Caribbean Sea.
He said to Toru, "This is one of the Central Intelligence Agency's biggest secrets, known only to the Director and Deputy Director. Here, at coordinates 112.155152, 23.028592, there is a hidden, unknown small island."
"That is the Central Intelligence Agency's large safe house, and also one of the locations where the President can take refuge after a nuclear war breaks out. It is solely controlled by the Central Intelligence Agency. Apart from the President, personnel from other departments do not know its specific location."
"There is a doomsday fortress on the island, guarded in shifts by the most elite and loyal operatives."
"Although no missile base was built there in order to keep it hidden and avoid detection by Russia, it does have a powerful shielding system that blocks all satellite signals."
"Spencer has gone there to evade your pursuit and is remotely controlling the Central Intelligence Agency to kill you."
Burns did not hesitate to betray one of the Central Intelligence Agency's biggest secrets, telling Toru everything about this doomsday fortress.
Toru's expression remained unchanged. He increasingly felt that making Burns his proxy had been a brilliant move.
With Toru's previous identity in the Central Intelligence Agency, it would have been impossible for him to know about this doomsday fortress.
Especially since it was an independent system, even a fully developed AI recognition system could not connect to any facilities on this island.
If Spencer had really run away and Burns had not informed him, the world was so large that Toru definitely would not have been able to find him.
Within these three months, he would also have been endlessly pursued by the Central Intelligence Agency.
Toru put down the nail clippers. He narrowed his eyes and smiled.
"Shielding all satellite communications? Unfortunately, it can't shield the Starlink system."
As a combined satellite system operating in low Earth orbit, with numbers as high as 40,000, it was almost impossible to deal with something like this.
It was precisely because this system covered 50% of the world that the American military was involved in the Starlink project.
Even Ukraine used the Starlink system for battlefield communications.
Elon Musk had already given Toru the connection password for Starlink. He could mobilize tens of thousands of satellites for communication at any time, and he could also use Starlink as a springboard to connect to American military satellites.
Toru licked his lips, killing intent appearing on his face.
"Spencer is truly foolish. He made a terrible move."
"If he had just stayed in Washington, the capital of America, I wouldn't have dared to make things too big. Since he is now isolated overseas, he is definitely going to die."
Toru took out his phone, opened an application, and issued a command.
"I am Rum. Mobilize submarines and the Organization's internal military force. Take this place. Mission objective: kill CIA Director Spencer. Mission coordinates: XXX.XXX."
At the same time, Toru sent a message to Mary.
"Mary, now is the time to show your value. Let me see the secret agents you've cultivated in MI6 over the years."
"The target this time is CIA Director Spencer!"
"Oh, and don't forget your promise, Mary."
After issuing these two commands, Toru looked up at Burns again and said with a smile, "Mr. Burns, you served in the American military in the past and are now the Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency."
"You should be quite familiar with some American military personnel, right? So, would it be possible to borrow a military base near the Caribbean Sea so that some of my aerial forces can take off?"
Burns swallowed.
This young man had unknowingly gained control of such terrifying power.
