"A woman," Kieran said for the fourth time that morning, his voice echoing through the breakfast hall. "Adrien, all I ask is for you to bring home one woman. One. Preferably alive and mentally stable."
"I can barely tolerate people breathing near me," Adrien replied flatly, not looking up from his coffee. "Why would I voluntarily marry one?"
"Because you are twenty-two years old," Kieran snapped. "At your age, I already had an empire."
"At your age, you were also emotionally unstable."
Aurielle nearly choked on her tea.
Across the massive dining hall, Hanalei burst into laughter so violently she almost fell off her chair. Valerie immediately started recording the argument on her phone like it was premium entertainment.
"Post that and die," Adrien warned calmly.
Valerie zoomed in further. "Threats from the future head of the D'Angelo empire. This family is so festive."
