Ian's POV
I kept stealing glances at Aisha, as we drove off from the restaurant. She seems uneasy, which is unlike her.
"Who was that?"
"Someone I used to know."
"Is there anything that I need to know?"
"No, that's just about it. He is an irrelevant part of my past. There is no need to open up past wounds."
"So he wasn't so irrelevant then."
She didn't say anything else. She just kept looking outside the window. I let her be and drove over to my place.
"Why are we here?" She said finally after I had reached the gate.
"You were deep in thought and I didn't think it wise to leave you alone. So I chose to bring you here."
"This is not a good idea. I don't like this at all. Take me back home!"
"I don't bite, Aisha. It's okay, we can go back to your place. I wouldn't want to make you feel uncomfortable."
She gave me a look and sighed. "I'm sorry for overreacting. It was completely unnecessary. It's okay, let's just get into the house and talk."
