Everyone froze, stunned by the sheer, unbridled violence of the entry. Lexel stood dead center, basking in the sudden weight of their undivided attention. There was no point in hiding now, nowhere left to scheme. But as he glanced around the grand hall of the mansion, his lips curled into a slight grimace. The room was far too small for him to truly stretch his legs.
Before the platoon could capitalize on his momentary stillness, Lexel snatched the shaft of a spear right out of a knight's grip. With a terrifying display of raw strength, he hoisted the soldier entirely off his feet and hurled him bodily across the room. The man crashed through the heavy stained-glass window, disappearing into the courtyard below
