Flinn froze mid-motion, staring.
"Hey! Stop staring at me with that form!" Lexel snapped, feeling thoroughly violated by the sight of his own face gawking at his own bare backside, before turning on his heel and bolting into the nearby treeline, disappearing into the shadows between the trunks.
Flinn stood there a moment longer, blinking down at herself, at hands that weren't hers, at a voice she hadn't finished getting used to yet.
Then she squared her shoulders, settled the borrowed jacket into place, and stepped out of the alley wearing Lexel's face like she'd been born in it.
Anthierin came into view first, eyes narrowing the second they landed on Flinn's borrowed face.
"What's going on? Where's Flinn?"
"Eh-hem," Flinn said, voice pitched exactly wrong, "I have no idea."
Anthierin squinted harder. "It's you, isn't it."
"Damn," Flinn muttered, shoulders sagging. "I need to level up my acting."
