Shota's hair flew upward along with his binding cloth as he focused on using the anti-gravity field part of his quirk. The binding cloth floated around him.
The desert wind blew strongly, but his hair and cloth stayed suspended in the air due to his ability. He kept his eyes sharp on Sasori and the puppets in front of him.
'Sasori nii-san was not much of a ninjutsu or genjutsu user so I do not think that he would be using it. And he is very particular about his puppets. If I destroy even a couple, he would restrain from bringing more of them out as he thinks of them more as family and his creations than mere puppets. So even if I cannot erase his chakra, it would not matter in the long run,' Shota thought.
He took a deep breath and began weaving hand signs for a powerful fire style jutsu. The chakra inside him as he took lot of oxygen in his lungs and mouth.
"Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!"
A huge ball of fire erupted from Shota's mouth. The fireball was much larger and hotter than a normal one. Its temperature was extremely high, and the flames burned with bright orange and occasional blue colors.
The heat caused the sand around them to start melting slightly. Sasori looked surprised by the strength of the jutsu, but he managed to evade it along with both of his human puppets. They jumped away in different directions to avoid the scorching flames.
Shota had used the fireball on purpose to create this situation. Because the puppets had moved far away from Sasori's main body to dodge the fire, the puppet master could not protect them easily. This gave Shota the opening he needed.
"Yokai Rasengan," Shota muttered quietly.
He held his hand out and formed the spirit ball form of the Rasengan. With a simple swipe of his finger, the Rasengan shot forward at high speed toward one of the puppets.
Sasori sneered and used his chakra strings to pull the puppets away quickly. The Rasengan missed the first puppet at first, but Shota swiped his finger again.
The homing Rasengan turned sharply in midair and blasted straight through the first puppet, destroying it completely. Pieces of the human puppet flew everywhere.
The Rasengan then changed direction again and destroyed the second puppet as well. It continued toward Sasori, but it had lost much of its power by then. Sasori easily swatted it away using the metal tail of his Hiruko puppet.
"So you have begun to learn advanced nature manipulation already and... now that was a jutsu. A homing jutsu without hand signs. Impressive," Sasori said.
He looked at the binding cloth floating around Shota. "And you also managed to find another use of your dojutsu. How fascinating."
"Have I impressed you enough for you to come back to the village and present me with the best kohai award?" Shota asked with a small smile.
Sasori answered by throwing hundreds of senbon needles at him. The poisoned needles flew like a deadly rain. Shota's binding cloth extended quickly and formed a strong shield in front of him. It blocked every senbon and protected him from the dangerous poison that Sasori had coated them with.
Though Sasori did not stop his attack. He rushed forward as the scorpion tail of the Hiruko puppet extended toward Shota.
Shota stood his ground and extended his own binding cloth. One end of the cloth flew out to immobilize the scorpion tail, while the other end blocked the kunai that shot out from a hidden mechanism inside Hiruko's body.
"Got you," Sasori said as he used the scorpion tail that was held by the binding cloth to pull Shota toward him.
Shota flew through the air as Sasori prepared to impale him with the sharp poisoned tail. But instead of panic, Shota just grinned confidently.
"No, Sasori nii-san, I got you. Rasengan!" Shota shouted.
A powerful rotating ball of chakra formed in his hand. He slammed it directly onto the Hiruko puppet that was covering Sasori.
The Rasengan exploded with great force. The puppet broke apart under the spinning chakra. Shota quickly backed away as the broken tail still tried to impale him. Sasori used chakra strings to make the damaged tail move even after the main body was destroyed.
A new body emerged from the now destroyed shell of Hiruko. It was Sasori's own puppet body. He looked exactly as he did many years ago, with a youthful face that had not aged a single day.
"Now look what you have done. You just destroyed my favourite puppet. Annoying brat," Sasori said as he stood fully revealed in his youthful puppet body.
Shota landed on the sand and took a moment to catch his breath. He kept his eyes on Sasori, knowing the real battle was only beginning now that the puppet master had come out in his true form.
Sasori stretched his new body slightly and rolled his shoulders. His eyes were cold but held a spark of interest. "You have grown stronger, brat. But do not think this is over. I still have many more puppets and plenty of time to play with you."
Shota smiled faintly. "I was hoping you would say that, Sasori nii-san. I still plan to bring you back to the village one day, whether you like it or not."
