The hall erupted into gasps and murmurs. Everyone was shocked, trying to process what they had just heard.
Georgea staggered a step back, her body going numb. "This… this can't be true…" she whispered. She had never expected that Danica could do such things.
'Cheating on Adrian? Impossible.' She was unwilling to believe it.
But then why would Adrian's assistant lie?
'Could Danica be lying all the time?' Georgea shot her a suspicious look.
"He is lying," Danica screamed hysterically, pointing at the assistant. "You are lying. How dare you accuse me like this?"
But the man didn't back down this time. "I can prove it," he said firmly.
Danica's breath hitched. She had threatened him, forced him to stay quiet, and made sure every trace of evidence was destroyed, or so she thought. But it turned out that the man had not destroyed anything.
'He fooled me.' Danica's panic rose.
