Vivian Sinclair's tone was icy, with no warmth in her eyes.
She looked coldly at Lynn Shaw.
"We have nothing to talk about. The past is the past, and I don't want any more entanglements with you. If you want to be the respectable stepmother and completely abandon me, your biological daughter, then do it decisively. Don't push me away with one hand while pretending to care with the other.
"I've had enough of this hypocrisy. I don't need your pity, and I certainly don't need your charity."
Lynn Shaw saw this attitude and realized that she had indeed gone too far last time.
Faced with Vivian Sinclair's resistance, her voice unconsciously softened a bit.
"Vivian, come out and have a word with your mother. Just two sentences, alright?"
After all, with Tristan present, some things were hard to say in front of outsiders.
Vivian Sinclair glanced at Tristan, her gaze lingering on his face for a moment before she looked away.
