Gu Kaiyuan hurried along the path, using the moonlight to guide his way, until he reached the entrance of a cave.
"Young Master." Lin Hua and Lin Wei, who had been waiting there for a long time, breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Gu Kaiyuan arrive as promised.
Both of them were dressed in coarse linen clothes, covered in dust and dirt, looking no different from the local mountain villagers.
"You've worked hard. How are the matters at hand?"
"Everything has been handled. We've been waiting here for two days. Please give us your orders, Young Master."
Seeing only the two of them, Gu Kaiyuan was a little confused. "Where are the others?"
"We had them wait up ahead. Too many people here might expose our location." Lin Wei looked worried. "Young Master, we saw several groups of people around here today. Could they be accomplices of those who murdered the old madam?"
"Don't engage them," Gu Kaiyuan said. "You're no match for them."
