The windbreak Liu Pingkang had found was truly not bad. Although it was cold tonight, it wouldn't leave everyone completely miserable. A few of the larger families followed Gu Kaiyuan's example, using tarps to enclose their spaces. With the surrounding fires, they could sleep peacefully tonight.
Gu Baijiang tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Listening to the snores of his two sons beside him, he sighed and silently got up, walking over to the fire outside. It wasn't that he didn't want to go for a walk, but rather that he didn't have the courage to wander in the dark.
