Chapter 264: Lord Alex, I Will Teach Hanabi Well

Dusk approached.

The setting sun at the edge of the sea emitted its final afterglow, painting the horizon a fiery red.

Alex held Konan's hand as they walked onto the open ground, admiring the beautiful sunset together.

"Alex," Konan said, a bit dazed. "This is the first sunset in the Land of Rain. It's so beautiful..."

The perennial gloomy weather of the Land of Rain had been dispersed by the power of her Kekkei Mora. The sun shone on this land again, and the sunset was clearly visible for the first time.

She looked up at the darkening sky. The torrential rain that used to turn heaven and earth into a muddy mess was long gone. Only a few damp breezes swept across the land, kicking up fine dust.

That was the last breath of the old Rain Village, slowly dissipating into the newborn world with the flow of air.

Alex tightened his grip on Konan's hand and smiled gently. "We can watch sunsets like this many, many times in the future. The sun in the Land of Rain will rise as usual every day."

When he looked up at the sky, he could clearly see the chakra veins remaining deep in the clouds. That was Konan's power—an ability granted by the Kekkei Mora sufficient to rewrite the rules of nature.

The rain that once drenched the village day and night had been driven to the Land of Wind, bringing abundant water to that arid nation, fundamentally altering its climate.

Alex withdrew his gaze and looked at the ground. The soil, once soaked soft by rain, had become firm. Only occasionally could one see a few remaining puddles reflecting the scattering clouds overhead.

He could sense the changes deep in the soil. The fissures eroded by years of rain were being quietly repaired by the energy of Konan's Kekkei Mora.

"Next," Alex said with anticipation, "what will grow here is not mud, but paved streets; what will rise are not broken shacks, but modern skyscrapers."

He raised his hand, his palm glowing with pale blue chakra, and pressed it lightly against the ground.

A fine web of light spread out from him like an invisible blueprint, outlining crisscrossing lines on the earth.

Those were the veins of the future Holy City—broad main roads, rows of buildings, landscaped gardens, and the Angel Shrine in the center.

As for his own imperial palace, he thought about it and decided to place it in the sky. Continuing to modify the Sky Fortress or creating a capital in the sky would work.

Konan watched the light patterns on the ground. A paper flower from her fingertips landed gently on a node of the light, instantly transforming into a small paper signpost standing firmly in the soil.

"When I was little, I always hoped the rain would stop for just one day," she whispered, a trace of distant memory in her eyes. "Yahiko said that when the rain stopped, we would build the Rain Village into a place where everyone could live in peace. Back then, I thought it was just an unreachable dream."

The wind blew again, this time carrying a hint of warmth.

Alex withdrew his hand. The light patterns faded into the ground, leaving only the paper signpost swaying gently in the wind.

"Now, the dream is coming true," he said, looking at Konan. "When the Holy City is built, that will be the day Yahiko and Nagato are resurrected. They will live the beautiful life they pursued all their lives in this peaceful new world."

Konan nodded and whispered, "En. They will definitely love this world. No fighting, no killing, no schemes. Everyone living happy and fulfilling lives."

Just then, a spatial fluctuation came from the open ground ahead.

"It's the teleportation paper," Alex said, his gaze landing forward. "Hinata is here."

As soon as he spoke, the empty ground was suddenly filled with dense crowds of people.

Hinata had led all the villagers of Konoha to the Rain Village.

The villagers had obviously been warned and instructed; they all stood obediently in place. No noise, no clamor, waiting for the next arrangements in anxiety and tension.

Hinata stood at the very front of the group.

Her light blue figure was particularly eye-catching, clearly carefully dressed. She wore a simple white kimono with a light blue haori over it. Her long hair was tied behind her head with a plain ribbon.

A small girl was clinging tightly to her arm. It was her sister, Hanabi Hyuga.

Hinata's eyes quickly locked onto Alex and Konan in the center of the clearing. When she saw those cool yet calm eyes, her heartbeat accelerated slightly, but she quickly steadied her mind.

She walked straight to Alex, curtsied slightly, and performed a standard etiquette greeting.

"Lord Alex, Lady Konan." Her voice was gentle but clear, with just the right amount of respect. "All villagers of Konoha have arrived safely in the Rain Village as per your orders."

Alex looked at her and smiled. "You've worked hard, Hinata."

A simple sentence filled Hinata with joy.

She quickly pointed to Hanabi beside her. "This is my sister, Hanabi Hyuga. She yearns for the Akatsuki organization very much. I will conduct targeted training for her, hoping that one day, she can join the Akatsuki and follow Lord Alex."

As she said the last sentence, she glanced at Alex rather shyly. The implication was self-evident.

Konan glanced at Hanabi standing beside Hinata, then hooked the corner of her mouth, looking at Alex with a smile. She didn't say a word.

"Ahem..." Alex coughed dryly to mask the awkwardness.

He rubbed his nose and sized up Hanabi. She did look very much like Hinata, a beauty in the making. And... sisters...

Alex immediately stopped his train of thought and nodded. "Yes, I see Hanabi's aptitude is good. In time, under your guidance, she will indeed be qualified to join the Akatsuki."

"Teach her well and help her grow."

Hinata was delighted. "Yes, Lord Alex. We sisters will never disappoint you."
