Chapter 470: Divine Skill! A Dimensional Strike Against the Ant King
Meruem's tail acted like a thick steel whip, locking like a vice around Dragon's throat. The tough green scales easily sliced through the Armament Haki defending Dragon's skin. Blood flowed down his neck and soaked his collar.
Dragon's airway was forcibly crushed shut, his cervical vertebrae groaning under the unbearable load.
A cruel smirk tugged at the corners of Meruem's mouth. He was in no rush to snap this human powerhouse's neck. He wanted to make this human, who dared challenge royal authority, experience true despair.
His membranous wings vibrated violently, sending teeth-grinding hums rippling outward. A massive volume of purple scales cascaded from the sky like a heavy rainstorm.
This was the highly toxic scale powder he acquired from devouring Shaiapouf. Every single particle contained extremely dense Nen; inhaling even the slightest bit would plunge the victim into deep hypnosis and paralysis, eventually melting them into a puddle of green blood in their sleep.
The coverage of the scales was immense, directly blanketing the entire ruins below. Even the dead grass on the ground hissed, releasing acrid white smoke upon contact.
But it didn't stop there. Meruem's free left arm began to engorge drastically. Muscle fibers frantically tore and reconstructed themselves, bursting through the green skin. In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a grotesque, giant arm covered in dark red eyeballs.
This was Menthuthuyoupi's signature ability. The eyeballs darted around wildly, radiating an irrational, tyrannical savagery. Furious Nen compressed to the absolute limit within the giant arm as blinding white light gathered in the palm, warping and distorting the surrounding space.
Meruem had no intention of continuing his one-on-one duel with Dragon. His target was the group of still-breathing insects below. He was going to use the most violent method possible to wipe out these reptiles who dared step into the King's territory, erasing them from the map along with the entire forest.
Dragon's vision began to go black from the lack of oxygen, but he still clearly saw Meruem's actions.
"Get out of here!" Dragon forced a roar from the depths of his crushed throat, his voice as hoarse as two pieces of sandpaper grating together, thick with the scent of blood.
He knew the limits of those kids below all too well. Against this level of poison and explosion... never mind three brats who had barely scratched the surface of their powers, even a Marine Vice Admiral standing there would be blown into nothingness.
The purple Rinnegan flared with unprecedented brilliance. The rippling rings in his eyes contracted violently, pushing his ocular power to its absolute limit.
Since he couldn't break free from this damn tail, he would just drag this monster away with him.
"Bansho Ten'in!"
Dragon didn't apply the gravity to Meruem; doing so would only make the tail tighten further. Instead, he locked onto a barren mountain several kilometers away, forcibly altering the direction of his own gravity.
Dragging Meruem—who was still strangling his neck—with him, Dragon plummeted diagonally toward the distant mountain like a derailed meteor.
The violent pulling force slightly threw off Meruem's aim, but the hyper-compressed pillar of light was already fired. Mixed with the sky full of toxic purple scales, it crashed toward the ground with the momentum to annihilate everything in its path.
Down in the ruins, Kuma looked up. His small round sunglasses reflected the lethal poison raining down upon them, along with the explosive blast of light capable of piercing the earth's crust.
The furious gale snapped wildly at his clothes.
Ivankov jumped frantically, his large face flushed red. "Kuma! Think of something, quick! If that hits us, there won't even be ashes left!" He madly pumped Hormones through his body, but in the face of this level of energy, his abilities seemed pale and powerless.
Luffy, Ace, and Sabo couldn't even stand steady anymore. The high-dimensional Nen suppression made it feel as though they were inhaling knives with every breath. The three fearless youths from the East Blue finally understood what a true natural disaster looked like.
Kuma didn't speak. His stoic face remained entirely impassive. His broad hand pulled off his remaining glove, completely exposing the pink paw pad to the air.
Tucking his heavy Bible safely under his arm, Kuma slammed his palms together forcefully in front of his chest. Golden light began to gather in the gap between his hands. It wasn't blinding, yet it carried an inviolable power of rules.
This was the Blind Box divine skill from Blake's tavern—a dimensional strike that transcended the power systems of both One Piece and Hunter x Hunter.
"Soten Kisshun." Kuma's deep, resonant voice cut through the roaring explosions. "I Reject."
The moment the words left his lips, a massive, sky-obscuring, semi-oval golden barrier erupted from the ground, firmly sealing Luffy, the others, and Ivankov inside.
The purple poison scales touched the edge of the barrier first. These highly toxic scales, capable of corroding steel, simply froze the moment they touched the golden light. There was no chemical reaction. They weren't deflected away. They were directly reverted back into their most primal, harmless gaseous state, vanishing without a trace.
This was the terrifying aspect of the Bleach universe's conceptual divine skill. It didn't matter how lethal your poison was; as long as it entered the barrier's range, all harm would be "rejected" and reverted to its initial state.
Immediately following the scales, the thick pillar of explosive light slammed fiercely into the golden barrier. This was a devastating attack combining the entirety of Youpi's cellular energy.
Blinding light erupted at the point of contact. Violent tremors spread madly through the earth's crust. The ground surrounding the barrier began to collapse and sink on a massive scale. Soil and rock were vaporized; groundwater was boiled into skies of white mist. The entire forest of the NGL Autonomous Region wailed in despair under the explosion.
Yet, inside the barrier, it was perfectly peaceful. Not even a slight breeze stirred.
Luffy's eyes were wide as saucers. He looked at the collapsing world outside, then up at the seemingly paper-thin golden curtain of light above him, his heart pounding violently against his ribs.
That explosive energy, enough to obliterate them ten thousand times over, struck the golden light like water droplets hitting a sponge—dissipating silently. Its existence had been forcibly erased.
Ace stood with his mouth agape, not even noticing when his steel pipe slipped from his grasp and clattered to the floor. His proud Pyro element was an absolute joke in the face of this kind of power.
Sabo swallowed hard, his mouth feeling completely dry. Their eyes had truly been opened today. This was the power sold in Blake's tavern. It was completely unreasonable, capable of trampling over the very laws of physics at will.

In Foosha Village in the East Blue.
Inside Partys Bar, Blake leaned against the counter, a freshly mixed glass of juice in hand. The virtual light screen in mid-air broadcasted the Hunter world battle in real-time.
Seeing Kuma block the Ant King's fully-charged ultimate attack with Soten Kisshun, Blake snapped his fingers in satisfaction. "Money well spent, isn't it?" he muttered with a smile.
A conceptual-level skill from the Bleach universe. Against Nen users who only knew how to fight in hand-to-hand combat or shoot energy blasts, it was simply a dimensional suppression.
It didn't matter how dense your Nen was or how powerful your explosion was; in the face of the concept of "Rejection," everything had to obediently return to zero. If he couldn't even block a mutated ant's basic attack, his reputation as Store Manager would be ruined.
Blake took a sip of juice, shifting his gaze toward the distant, barren mountain. The physical brawl between Dragon and the Ant King was only just beginning.

The distant barren mountain had a massive crater smashed into it by Dragon and Meruem. Shattered rocks pierced the air, and thick dust filled the sky. Half the mountain peak had been sheared completely flat.
The moment Meruem stabilized himself in the high altitude, he whipped his head around. For the first time, an extreme flash of irritability crossed his emotionless compound eyes.
He felt it. His attack, capable of annihilating everything, hadn't managed to crush a single ant.
That golden dome below radiated an aura that he found utterly repulsive. It wasn't Nen. It wasn't Haki. It was something that completely transcended his understanding. This feeling of being out of control made the newly crowned King incredibly furious.
Meruem spread his wings once more, tightening his tail's grip. Dragon's face turned a bruised purple as his Armament Haki desperately resisted the slicing scales at his throat.
Meruem ignored the prey in his grasp. He was going to tear the guy projecting that golden light, along with this nuisance Dragon, into tiny pieces.
Green Nen erupted from his body once more. This time, he didn't plan on holding anything back.
