Chapter 57: Of Guards & Spirits, Pt 1

_______________

Max continues to prep for his upcoming departure. Three of his guards can't seem to stop it with the baiting. And he begins the assimilation of a certain, powerful magical spirit…

In the end, it took 3 more days for Max to gather himself, fix what the Omega Rune messed up, reinforce and strengthen the Rune of Resistance and another four days for his body to physically recover enough from the abuse it just went through.

Thankfully, whenever he could walk, the first thing he did was teleport out of that testosterone-filled manor.

He did, after all, have preparations to finish, men to power up and schemes to put into motion. Not to mention, he needed to power up himself as quickly as possible—And he had best idea of what to do it with, too.

So, afterwards, Max decided to link the Forks' Estate's Nemeton to the werewolf settlement in New Orleans, The Bayou, and the Traveller's settlement in Idaho —- all with a conceptual level protection incantation that feed off and strengthened one another. It also allowed instant travel between either places linked.

[Traveller's Settlement In Idaho Reference Image]:

Of course, both the settlements and the magic teleportation paths connect to them were warded and protected by a multitude of protection magicks that Max had enchanted from many shows and movies he had watched in his first life, some of them being conceptual in power. They worked in tandem with one another to keep the settlements —- and the way to get to and from them — away from prying and unwanted eyes.

Max eas currently standing in the middle of the woods in some plot of land in North Dakota.

Beside him were only three of his men—Lucien, Ryan and Malivore; all were etched with conceptual level runes of concealment and privacy alongside various high level spells that Max created solely to help completely erase presences. Even Max's own Rune of Privacy was active, as always—For he didn't need anyone finding this place.

As the quartet navigated the woods, Max eventually found a deep, dark cave that went deep into the mountains.

It was here that he knew he found what he was looking for.

See, his psychic abilities have only recently strengthened to the point that he could create pocket dimensions, which, paired with the boundless capabilities of his now conceptual level magic, the rivalless ingenuity of his imagination and meta knowledge of various fictional medias, allowed Max to do what he did next.

He reached out into the space around him and grabbed, mentally, unto the smallest particle of space he could find in an endless sea of countless others.

Then he willed space to warp within the particle while, outside, the particle looked no different. He warped its interior until it resembled the cave out here, but fully furnished, insulated and its entrance sealed tight from the cold.

Using his magic, he filled the particle that held this dimension with conceptual magic. Then he repeated this process a few hundred more times with other particles; they projected new conceptual psychic plusforms of himself and the 4 men with him in these particles to promote the illusion more believably.

Then, after repeating the process hundreds of thousands more times, Max beamed the 4 of them inside the cave of the original particle.

"Whoa…," Ryan yelped, swallowing thickly. "That was… Strange."

"Do pray tell, mate, but why are we here?" Lucien asked, looking around at the suddenly furnished, secluded and spiffy-looking cave before returning his gaze to Maximus. "Not that I'm complaining about any alone time, mind you. I'm just curious."

Malivore remained externally silent, though he held a curious brow furrowed. Max narrowed his eyes.

He didn't undo the biokinetic alterations done to those men—Well, at least, not all of them, anyways. Many of them, yeah. The handful of them that benefited Max without actually taking away their independence and agency? Those Max allowed them to keep.

Sure, he gave them back their willpower and strengthened their mental resilience. He even enhanced all aspects of their mental fortitude.

But the changes made to these 4—Well, all the men—specifically, the physiological ability to cum torrential tons per ejaculations? He left them.

And the fact that they were also more physically abrasive during sex — He kept that.

They would need it. Or, rather, they'd want it… For later, no doubt.

He wasn't a monster. He didn't force himself unto them. That said, whatever he was turning into, transforming into, outside of that Rune, it required meat and semen to survive. That, he had already gathered.

It was why he could bite into flesh, take off a whole arm, and all the 'victim' would feel would be intense arousal as it magically grew back. It was why Max craved semen so much. Before he may have liked to swallow, but liking to swallow and 'needing' to absorb are two separate things in its entirety.

Max wasn't too sure he liked what he was becoming. That said, there weren't much he could do to change the process. Worse case scenario? He'lll magick up a solution if what he's becoming becomes too dangerous to sustain.

Wordlessly, Max channelled his conceptual being into his biokinesis and drew blood directly from his pores—A single drop, was all he needed.

He willed it to grow.

First, skeleton, then nervous system. Then muscle and vascular system—Brains and organs and everything else came to be.

When he was done, a fully replicated and absolute perfect duplicate of himself stood naked before him—It had all the runes attached to its body and soul that Max had, only it also had an additional one, too. Specifically, one that meant a variety of concepts. Anchor. Home. Battery. All at once.

Max 2 even had Max's 9/10 Charm factor! A perfect replica right down to the soul.

'Inheriting the concept of the phoenix really opened doors for me. For starters, because it's a concept built on a multiversal constant, a fundamental truth of this reality, its power is limitless and can be drawn on and channelled through my magic infinitely, so long as my physical body can take it.'

'By channelling my magic through it, it scales whatever spell that is channelled through it to a much, much larger, more fundamental level,' Max thought.

'The only issue I have with it, is that, because my current physical body isn't durable enough to contain the concept itself, I cannot constantly channel that magic consecutively back to back to back. There has to be a break between every few conceptual spells, or I risk being disintegrated by my own concept... And even I cannot currently bring myself back from that as I am now...'

With a flick of his wrist, Max sent the particle he anchored this pocket dimension to in his own dimension, where Nature did not hold any relevant influence in.

He also instantly clothed the clone.

'Mm... Maybe I should rename him?' Max thought, then immediately thought, 'Yeah. I should. Differences of some kind are a MUST, no doubt. What to call you... what to call you...?'

'How about Maxy I?' the clone psychically reached out to the original. 'I don't need a too thought out name, considering I will be the first of 3...'

'That works,' Max thought, nodding, before walking up to Ryan, who lifted a curious brow.

"Yes?" he asked, hesitantly.

"Can you lift your shirt please?" Max asked, surprising the muscleman. "If you're certain you still want to help me, I need to imprint something unto your chest."

With an adorably lopsided grin that reminded Max of a kitten, Ryan lifted his shirt from the hem up to his pecs, showcasing his newly acquired six pack. The move was disorienting to Max—Not just the abs but the fact that they belonged to a baby face like Ryan.

Max wasn't entirely certain if what he was feeling right then was cuteness aggression or arousal—Probably both. Either way, he felt a sudden desire to bite down on the abs.

He resisted the urge.

After all, his clones and him were conceptually connected. Everything they felt, Max would, too. And he imagines that, between the 3 of them alone, he would be getting enough action to satisfy his most cardinal desires.

"Maxy I is yours to guard. His safety and security will be your priority," Max explained as he carved a series of runes into Ryan—particularly three. "Only you will have access to enter and exit to this pocket dimension, but only do so at safe intervals. There's a control chamber down the castle corridor that scans the world for any potential threats—Use it everytime you intend to exit—And check it regularly for anything suspicious. It's connected to Burshamsha dimension, so you'll always have him to oversee you both and keep you company."

"Maxy I and are connected, so if you need me in a situation of utmost severity, use him to call me."

"Maxy I will be unconscious most of the time, storing and conserving his power. That said, he wouldn't mind you unleashing frustration on him every once in awhile—Awake or not; it doesn't really matter."

"I'll be yours to care for," Maxy I said, smirking suggestively as he looked Ryan up and down flirtatiously, laughing as the man became red as a tomato. "Or yours to ruin."

A sound that sounded like something close to a cough, yelp and moan made its way through Ryan's lips before he could stop it and the entire group had to stifle a laugh as Ryan began trying to dismiss them in his embarrassment. "Ok, if that's all you all can go. I have a new hole — I mean, partner to protect."

Max just laughed, teleporting Malivore, Lucien and himself to the next particle pocket dimension when he was sure Ryan was good.

Unlike the other two, Max didn't give Ryan a special power up outside of when he fully unlocked his potential days ago.

Why? Because Ryan won't be dying. Max ensured it. He gave Ryan an emergency escape rune linked to Maxy I with Barshamsha's dimension as the destination—And a self-destruct contingency failsafe that would activate mere moments after the two of them escape incase the pocket dimension was breached.

'He'll be safe,' Max knew. 'I won't let what happened to Kaleb happen to him—None of them — Never again.'

Max had only just beamed the trio to the second dimension and turned to Malivore after generating Maxy II when he noticed Malivore's hairy, dark, veiny, almost mud-lined but impressive chest.

His mind stopped computing. He remembered grasping on to these pecs while that monstrosity between his legs was used by Max as a rollercoaster—The memory was enough to make Max swallow. Hard.

"Spot something you like, Maximus?" Malivore teased, slight tug at his otherwise expressionless lips. "Something that makes you wanna…bite? Don't be a stranger. I'm sure your desires wouldn't want that, would they?"

Max had to physically shake his head, as if to clear his mind from the dirty thoughts festering inside him. He really needed to finish this mini-quest and move on to the power up sequence, he thought. He's already wasted enough time, his traitorious instincts be damned.

After a moment, Max managed to break eye contact with that impressive chest, choosing instead to rune up Maliovre…on the chest, ironically, much to the mud golem's amusement.

Max had to mentally pretend that he wasn't drawing on skin he was previously biting into days prior. It didn't help that the bastard was flexing and popping his pecs at every chance he got.

Anyway, after implementing the runes on Malivore, he explained the purpose behind each one, paying particular attention to the conceptual rune. It granted Malivore the cumulative abilities of every beast and monster he had ever devoured across every universe in which any version of Malivore had existed—whether canon or fanfiction.

It was an added security measure to ensure his survival — With a contingency spell that transported them both to Barshamsha's place, destroyed the particle dimension that this cave was in and alerted Max to the occurrence.

He had to physically tear his eyes away from Malivore's scrumptious-looking chest — he had a duty to finish, and any more delay would kill him. And he was not yet ready to die yet.

After giving him the rundown of how to exit and enter the pocket dimension — plus a tour of the place — Max created Maxy II, the same way he created Maxy I, with the same runes as the first clone, same purpose.

After that, Max beamed Lucien and himself to the third particle — However, just as he turned to Lucien, he noticed Lucien's shirt was already off, giving him an unrestricted view of the vampire's almost god-like physique — a chest that was both imposing and impressive, with dark mild specs of hair dotting its surface, and the nipples — Gods, the nipples — Max was buzzing with need to get them perky. And even as he saw the vampire's arousingly arrogant smile, Max nearly gave in and let him have him right then and there.

"It's alright now, Luv," Lucien practically cooed, palm caressing Max's cheek as he slowly guided Max's head to his chest — His bare, hairy chest that was causing the fangs in Max's hums to writhe with the need to bite into. "Just give in. I promise you won't regret it."

When Max's hand touched the sparse to mild length hairs of the vampire's chest, all fight left him and he knew that he would be yet another hour behind schedule right then…

CLAP!

CLAP!

CLAP!

Three hours later, Max had Lucien's arms pinned above his head while he rode the rod through his third hole, head buried in the vampire's pit hairs while he descended on the thrusting serpent.

Lucien's nipples were still healing from when Max bit down hard enough to rip them off, the taste of the flesh still on his tongue. But Lucien didn't seem to notice the injury. If anything, he seemed more aroused by it then affected, if his thrusts are anything to say about it.

Max's belly was swollen with tons of cum, and his eyes remained slightly unfocussed, even as Max tried to stay coherent.

Unfortunately, the scent from the armpit combined with falling downward on a brutally thrusting schlong broke whatever willpower Max had managed to scrape up.

And Lucien, noticing this, gave his most arrogant smirk as he suddenly flipped Max on his back, spread his legs further apart and drilled into Max's heat at vampiric speed with vampiric strength, at sharp, unpredictable angles, that made Max tear up in pleasure.

The ecstasy was nearly too much and Max had long since gone into subspace, because not only was Lucien railing him, but so, too, was Malivore and Ryan Clark through his clones. He felt it all — And he nearly lost himself to the pleasure.

—--------------------

Half a day later, after the high, after the sex and after giving Lucien the same rundown as the others with Maxy III, Max exited the pocket dimension and returned to his own, specifically in the hell layer of it.

He walked past dozens of souls being tormented—even past 8 and 9 as well as 6 and 5. He didn't need to see them. In fact, the moment his hellfire tormented them the first time, their mental defenses were obliterated, allowing Max to access everything that they knew when they were alive.

It was how he knew he'd die if he faced #1 as he was right now—Well, that plus his survival instincts.

Max found a relatively quiet place in the hell layer—A place much further away than any tortured soul have yet reached.

When a pointer finger pointed at the ground surrounding him, Max spun in a complete circle, willing the crimson-orange hellfire to surround him like a barrier.

Then, sitting down, Max focused deeply on the runes he wanted to create and carve into himself. He wanted them conceptual at the very least—Something not easily restricted with a drastically powerful growth rate.

After a few moments of contemplation, Max figured it out—He opened his eyes. He knew which next two runes he would carve next.

First, Max carved the Conceptual Rune of Amplification into the skin above his left kidney—It looked like a plus sign gracefully curved into a lowercase "a".

With this rune, Max could multiply his base magical power—or any of his abilities—to conceptual levels, without needing to channel the concept of the Phoenix to empower them.

Next, he drew the conceptual rune of evolution, which would let Max evolve any person or any being, place or thing into its most mortally prime placement of being.

'I wonder if I should channel both of them on each other...?' Max wondered, but shook his head. "My body can barely handle the conceptual phoenix as is. Adding two new, even stronger and higher level concepts from already powerful, weaker concepts will probably kill me..."

Max pulled out a vial of liquid—It was an immortality elixir—Something similar to what Qetsiyah had created for her and Silas, only better. The glass vial was small—half the size of plastic water bottle and filled with a blue-tinted, crystal-clear liquid.

Using the memories assimilated from both Esther and Qetsiyah, Max created an Upgraded Immortality spell—One that granted true immortality as well as superior strength, speed, mental capabilities, durability and senses—All of which only becomes greater over time, with no limit on how much stronger they can become over time, no need to feed off living people and their life blood unlike Silas or vampires, and no weakness to the Sun, to a stake nor fire of any kind.

'This was the reason why I had to do this here,' Max clenched a fist as he looked himself over. 'If I did it outside of my dimension, Nature would implement a weakness or force a vulnerability unto me like she did with the Original family. By doing it here, I am preventing such a possibility from even occuring.'

Without any more thoughts on the matter, Max popped the lid and chugged the vial down whole in one downing.

Instantly, he felt his body change—It became denser, lighter, more physically condensed. He felt like he could easily lift a trash truck and chuck it tens of meters from wherever he picked it up from. His speed he instinctively knew also received an upgrade—That and his natural base-level mental fortitude.

Disappearing from one end of the layer to the other in a blur of movement, Max grinned, clearly impressed by his newly upgraded physicality.

As for his upgraded mental fortitude, he sensed it now a quarter as strong as would be with his psychic warding active—Which meant that now, when he'd have his psychic wardings active, it would be even stronger than before.

As for his senses? Even in his dimension, he took note of the changes—He could see, hear and smell things at least 65% more accurate than before in base form. Who knew how much stronger such senses would be should he shifted to wolf form?

Max returned to his circle of fire, choosing to sit down and focus. He channelled his psychic and mystical wardings through the conceptual rune of amplification. Where psychic runes protect the mind, Max's mystical runes protected the soul, making corruption by an external source much more harder to do.

"By making the wardings conceptual in strength, I am making sure what I intend to do next doesn't result in my failure or corruption," Max thought, psychically carving protection and barrier runes alongside the hellfire encircling himself. "I sense Inadu is not just a powerful magical spirit, but one that has pseudo-conceptual control over a concept... Probably the concept of 'Sacrifice', or something like that."

'If I intend to do this,' Max pulled out the moonstone slab that kept Inadu bound, 'I should get it over right now.'

He began to chant:

________________________________________________________________________

"yrevE noisrev si .eno yrevE tnemgarf si .dnuob sihT s'tirips rewop si deifilpma dna edam .etelpmoc tahW si detinu llahs reven eb .dedivid"

——————

Translation: "Every version is one. Every fragment is bound. This spirit's power is amplified and made complete. What is united shall never be divided."

________________________________________________________________________

He chanted on repeat, eyes glowing a complete, almost blinding white light as indigo blue portals the size of basketballs suddenly began appearing around the stone, bringing with them smoke-y essences of darkness—Vibrant blue ghostly lights aura-d with an inky darkness that deposited themselves into the moonstone slab.

This went on for a few hours—With Max's chanting summoning fragments of Inadu throughout the multiverse to fused with the one bound in the stone.

Somewhere along the line, a clone of Maximus—specifically, Maxon—came up into Max's circle of fire, bypassing the barrier in its entirety and dropping a small roll of ribbon—One as red as blood and radiated divine power not native to this world.

"The Seven Ribbons of Hathor!" Max realized. 'Something summoned from the Kane Chronicles book series. They will work flawlessly in keeping Inadu bound!.'

Even now, Inadu had managed to shatter bits and pieces of her bindings in the stone prison. As she was exitting the prison, she would be shocked to find herself bound by a force greater than any prison she's ever found herself in prior to this moment. Not even the Ancestors of the New Orlean witches could bind her to this degree.

Maxon wasted no time, chanting the ribbons to float and bind the prison the moment Maximus' spell stopped summoning Inadu's fragments.

The Seven Ribbons of Hathor was used multiple times by multiple magicians in the Riordanverse to bind powerful spirits, enemy magicians and literal gods. Max thought, watching as all 7 ribbons squeeze tight around the ball of inky-black light that had been extracted from the prison he made. 'Right now, Inadu is at her most powerful, fully assimilated all her fragments and probably capable of completely obliterating Hope Mikaelson at her peak, and the entirety of the Mikaelson family with her. Yet, the Seven Ribbons of Hathor are more than enough to keep her bound. As expected.'

"You Annoying Pest." it whispered in Max's ear, like venom.

"You Bind Me?"

"Don't Like Me Laugh!"

"I Can Get Out of This Easily!"

"I'll Have Your Soul Sacrificed To Me!"

"Your Power Added To My Own!"

"And Your Body As My Body!"

"You'll Be A Stepping Stone To My Path To Ascension!"

"Give Up!"

"Give In!"

"You Cannot Win!"

Max just chuckled.

"Keep the spell up until I'm finished," he said to Maxon, who nodded, maintaining the binding.

Inadu merely hissed to those words. "You Impudent Fool! I'll Devour Your Soul Whole! You'll Know No Peace!"

Then, wordless, Max walked up to the bound spirit with glee in his eyes. He lifted his palm and activated his Rune of Assimilation with one, singular word: "Assimilate."

Instantly, Max's consciousness immediately shifted, as all went black, and he found himself…
