Chapter 279: Sandbag-Sized Fists
After Masahiko appeared, he continuously observed the expressions of everyone present.
Orochimaru was slightly surprised at first, then revealed an expression of understanding, who knows what he was imagining in his head.
Tobirama wore an "I knew it" expression, completely disbelieving the news of Masahiko's death.
Hashirama, Jiraiya, and Sakumo were surprised at first, and then pleasantly surprised.
Hiruzen's expression was more complex: surprise first, then joyful excitement, and finally a hint of worry.
"No guilty conscience? It seems Minato's matter doesn't have much to do with him; it was Danzo's doing... or is his acting just that good?"
Various thoughts flashed through Masahiko's mind in a mere instant.
The next instant, a punch!
Shaking his arm, looking at Madara who staggered back a few steps, Masahiko was momentarily speechless.
"I didn't die. Are you really that excited, Madara?"
Madara steadied his figure and calmed down.
His impulsiveness just now was only because... life's ups and downs were just too fast.
He had just heard the good news, only to take a hit immediately after.
He was currently just a reanimated body, his power not even half of his peak. Facing Masahiko, he probably fell short.
"Hmph, old geezer! You're still not dead!"
Masahiko smiled and finally greeted the others. "Hashirama, Tobirama, long time no see."
"For us, it hasn't been a long time, Second Grandfather," Tobirama said faintly, making Masahiko's expression stiffen.
"Right, for them it's like they closed their eyes and opened them, and suddenly saw me... this is a bit awkward."
"Second Grandfather, it indeed has been a long time," Hashirama played along.
"Elder Masahiko! You actually..." Hiruzen couldn't help but speak.
"If I didn't die once, I wouldn't have known the world could become so exciting without me," Masahiko explained faintly. He certainly wouldn't admit that there was a problem with his training.
"Senior, it is great that you are not dead! Hurry and persuade Orochimaru!" Jiraiya shouted loudly.
Masahiko ignored him, turned to Madara, and asked the doubt that had been lingering in his heart. "Who took your eyes back then?"
"Old geezer, do you think I'll tell you?"
Masahiko smiled, clenched his right fist, and breathed a 'ha' on it. "Have you ever seen a sandbag-sized fist? Orochimaru, don't undo the Edo Tensei yet!"
"As you wish, Senior."
The next instant, Masahiko appeared right in front of Madara. "Right hook!"
Madara parried with his left hand but was still punched squarely in the left cheek by Masahiko.
"Bastard!" Madara cursed aloud. As his figure flew backward, a blue Susanoo giant gradually extended from his body.
Masahiko pulled his right arm back, chakra condensing in his palm. "Susanoo... just in time to try this move. Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack!"
Countless powerful phantom fists broke through the air. The Susanoo that Madara had just condensed instantly disintegrated, and even Madara himself disappeared into the barrage of fist shadows.
"Uh, used too much force. I forgot Madara currently has less than half his power..." Masahiko cursed inwardly. "I have to wait a bit for him to recover."
Scratching his head, Masahiko turned around somewhat distressed, finding that the area behind him had turned into a dense forest.
The shockwave of that punch was blocked for Hiruzen and the others by Hashirama.
"Slipped my mind, forgot I'm this strong now. How troublesome." Masahiko said this aloud, but inwardly he was blooming with joy.
"Senior, you have become stronger," Orochimaru said slowly.
Masahiko glanced at him and smiled faintly. "Received an invitation from the Akatsuki organization? Any interest in being a spy for me?"
Masahiko was addicted to finding spies. After the news of his death spread, Ameyuri Ringo was probably unreliable now. And with the Fourth Great Ninja War breaking out, the Land of Rain became a battlefield again; heaven knows if she had died in the crossfire.
"An invitation from Akatsuki? I haven't received one."
Masahiko was startled. "Then why defect?"
"More importantly, where did you get Madara's cells?"
While speaking, the trees that had just broken out of the ground retreated back into the earth, revealing Hashirama, Tobirama, and Hiruzen's group.
"Second Grandfather, you are getting stronger and stronger."
Masahiko took a deep breath, glanced at the silent Orochimaru, then at Hashirama and Tobirama... Better catch up first.
"Of course I will get stronger and stronger. The one getting weaker is Hiruzen."
Hiruzen smiled bitterly, while Hashirama scratched his head. "Monkey is getting older after all; he is not you."
Tobirama was thoughtful, noticing Masahiko's tone. "What happened? Second Grandfather."
Masahiko paused and sighed. "You guys are already dead, there is no need to add to your worries."
"Elder Masahiko..." Hiruzen hesitated.
"Senior, you should persuade Orochimaru first," Jiraiya chimed in again.
"Elder Masahiko, things aren't what you imagine." Sakumo actually spoke up for Hiruzen.
"I hope so," Masahiko said faintly.
Then Masahiko turned back to Hashirama and Tobirama. "It is Konoha Year 53 now. In at most another eleven or twelve years, I will definitely be able to resurrect you."
Hashirama smiled bitterly. "You still haven't given up."
"How could I give up..."
"Damn old geezer!"
On the other side, Madara finally recovered.
"Yo, you recovered, Madara." Masahiko turned with a smile. "Did you see the sandbag-sized fist?"
Madara's expression changed several times. "Bastard!"
"The caster is called Orochimaru, right? Release the restriction on my power, otherwise, with the old geezer here, you won't escape either!"
Masahiko smiled warmly. "Give it up, Madara. Orochimaru is on my side. The current situation is, a bunch of us beating up just you."
After saying this, Orochimaru actually nodded in agreement, leaving Madara temporarily speechless.
"Bastards..." Madara said 'bastard' more times today than in his entire life combined.
Masahiko wore a smile. "Orochimaru, you have a bright future. Don't defect. How about going to the Land of Whirlpools? I will figure out a way to get you research materials. You just need to summon Madara every few days to cure my boredom."
"Old geezer!" Madara's face flushed red, then he immediately glared at Tobirama. "This damn ninjutsu!"
Masahiko laughed. "How about it, Madara? Are you going to tell me?"
Hashirama couldn't 'bear to watch' anymore and changed the subject. "Second Grandfather, you said Madara's eyes were taken by someone?"
"Ah, there is an annoying Akatsuki organization. I've been tracking their leader's identity."
Madara breathed a sigh of relief. "It seems that guy is doing well, causing you a lot of trouble, old geezer."
Masahiko turned. "No trouble, just curiosity. Madara, I'm already invincible. Couldn't you feel that punch just now?"
"Invincible? Ridiculous!" Madara laughed out loud.
Masahiko paused and sighed. "Is it really that funny? Madara."
Masahiko clenched his right fist, slowly brought it to his mouth, and breathed a 'ha' on it. "It seems you still want to experience the sandbag-sized fist!"
