Love was a hard word to define.

If you've ever bothered to look the word up in the dictionary, you'd understand how tricky a word it could be. Some defined it as a feeling, others as a state of being. Aristotle once described love as a single soul inhabiting two bodies, while Kafka said, love was the knife with which you dig into yourself.... Well, maybe we shouldn't be using Kafka as an example here. The guy wasn't really known for having positive ideas about love.

 Still, every definition got love relatively the same in terms of how it should make you feel. Giddy, joyous, like you're walking on a cloud. Life seemed brighter. That's what you were supposed to feel, so why did Kenneth feel the exact opposite?

Kenneth sat on his bed staring blankly at the wall. He'd been doing this from the moment he'd entered his room after his last class. It wasn't really hard to guess what was making him think so hard.
