Lennon faced Malcom with mixed emotions.
On one hand, he felt admiration for this man. No one had ever lasted this long and taken that many of his hits before. The thing about Lennon was, and this was something he was perfectly aware of, was the fact that he was stunted.
He'd always been the picture of abject control. For Lennon, there was no such thing as losing it. Of messing up. As the responsible one, he'd always felt like he needed to be in charge, even when he fought.
He was strong. Stronger than most and he'd always felt like his strength came at the detriment of his own freedom. He had to hold back out of fear of seriously hurting someone because it had happened to him before.
One of the best memories of his past was training in his family's dojo. Since it was well known in the town, people came from all over to get the chance to be directly trained under Lennon's father.
