Hey everyone,
I want to address something a few of you have brought up — the opening of *Destiny of Immortality* does share a bit of resemblance with *Reverend Insanity*. I won't pretend otherwise. The first chapter's setup has some similarity, and I get why that jumped out at some of you.
But that's really where it ends.
This story has its own world, its own mythology, its own characters, and its own power system. The Mystical Worms here aren't just a reskinned version of Gu — they're tied into something much bigger: the Rana World's own ecosystem, its own logic, its own history.
And honestly, Mystical Worms are just one piece of it. There's also Stars, Comets, Astral Power, Astral Creatures, Parasites, and Emotional Power woven through everything.
The part I care most about, though, is how power connects to human experience. Someone who's stared down death, or carried real hardship, obsession, loss, fear, desire — that person can awaken something new, or push past a limit they didn't think they could. And because no two people carry the same scars or the same hunger, no two paths ever look quite the same.
What you've lived through. What you've suffered. What you want. What you believe. What you're willing to do to get there — that's what shapes the road ahead.
Two people can stand in the exact same world and still end up walking in completely different directions.
That's the heart of this story, if I had to put it in one line: *your experiences don't just shape who you become — sometimes they decide what you're capable of becoming.*
So yeah, there's a little bit of inspiration in that opening, maybe even a small similarity. I won't dodge that.
But I'd rather you not judge the whole book off one echo in chapter one. Give the world a chance. Get to know the characters. See where the power system actually goes. Follow the journey a while.
