The massive water curtain broadcast from Hidden Mist revealed a scene no one was prepared to witness.
"Another live stream from Hidden Mist… what happened there?"
No one could answer.
On screen stood:
Naruto Uzumaki
Tsunade
Mei Terumi
Chojuro
Sakura Haruno
And before them—
Jigen.
The Hokage was impaled.
The Kage were restrained.
Black rods pinned them like trophies.
Jigen's voice echoed coldly through the broadcast:
"Lowly creatures shaking the tree like mayflies."
"The heroes of the Ninja World are nothing special."
"Uzumaki Boruto. Come to Hidden Mist and die… or collect your father's corpse."
Across the villages, outrage exploded.
"Who is that bastard?!"
"Stand up, Hokage!"
"Don't fall!"
Even hardened shinobi clenched their fists with red eyes.
Five Kage Emergency Channel
The split screen displayed:
Shikamaru Nara
Kakashi Hatake
Gaara
Darui
Kurotsuchi
Shikamaru forced himself to remain calm.
"Hidden Mist didn't collapse randomly. Boruto appears. Naruto responds. Then this enemy arrives. It's coordinated."
"What's their objective?" Darui asked.
"They're calling Boruto out. Either they suspect a connection… or they want the Nine-Tails' other half."
Gaara silently shifted the feed.
Behind him, in the desert, a massive tanuki lay lazily.
Shukaku was still there.
"Shukaku hasn't been taken," Gaara said. "That means whoever fought him failed."
A small relief washed across the channel.
Not invincible.
Not untouchable.
Shikamaru continued grimly:
"Sasuke is already en route."
Sasuke Uchiha.
"He confirmed the enemy carries Ōtsutsuki chakra. His Rinnegan can see Six Paths energy flowing within him."
Silence.
Kakashi sighed lazily.
"We've grown complacent in ten years of peace."
No one argued.
"What do we do?" Darui asked.
Shikamaru lowered his head.
"If we go, we die. If we don't, morale collapses."
Another silence.
"Hide the remaining Tailed Beasts," he concluded. "Minimize loss."
"And if they take civilians hostage?" Kakashi asked quietly.
No one answered.
Then—
"Wait."
On screen—
Naruto moved.
Battlefield — Hidden Mist
Pinned by black rods.
Bleeding.
Broken.
Naruto opened his eyes.
Slowly—
He grabbed the rod, piercing his torso.
Pulled.
The steel shaft slid free.
Blood poured.
Then—
The wound closed instantly.
Flesh regenerated.
Bone reset.
Skin sealed.
The scab formed and flaked away within seconds.
Silence consumed the battlefield.
And the broadcast.
Naruto stood upright.
Like a pillar holding up the sky.
Jigen narrowed his eyes.
He could not sense Naruto's chakra clearly.
No overflow.
No fluctuation.
No weakness.
Naruto stepped forward.
One blur—
He crossed the distance instantly.
Jigen barely perceived the movement.
A simple punch.
No chakra visible.
Jigen did not guard.
Bang.
The impact detonated like artillery.
Jigen's body launched backward, tearing through multiple buildings before crashing to a halt in the distance.
Across the world—
Cheers erupted.
Naruto turned calmly.
He broke the rods pinning the Kage and placed his palm over their wounds.
Yin–Yang Restores damaged tissue instantly.
Even the structural damage from the rods faded.
Tsunade stared.
"...Naruto?"
Mei Terumī whispered his name as well.
His missing right arm—
Regenerated.
Perfectly whole.
For ten years, he had worn a prosthetic since the Valley of the End.
Now—
Complete.
White chakra drifted around him like mist.
A royal white cloak formed behind him, flowing like liquid light.
Magatama markings lined his back.
Golden chakra veins glowed beneath the surface.
A staff manifested in his hand.
Kurama's power no longer raged violently.
It harmonized.
Calm.
Perfect.
Naruto walked forward slowly.
No anger in his face.
Only conviction.
Only certainty.
Jigen rose from the rubble.
For the first time—
His expression hardened.
Naruto lifted the sage staff slightly.
White chakra shimmered around him like dawn breaking across the horizon.

And the darkness began to recede.
