Chapter 53
After talking with Gundam Meisters, Marcus went to meet the main crew of Ptolemaios.
The Emperor deadpanned when he saw Milly waving her hand at him. His darling wife was already here, talking with Celestial Being's main team.
"You just love taking all the fun out of me." He sighed, walking over and dropping into the couch opposite his wife. The Ptolemaios crew was a bit spooked to see him; they were silent upon his arrival, almost like he was the main boss who just spawned into the newbie zone.
"Not quite. I knew you would be busy with the Gundam Pilots, so I went for the crew."
"What did happen to them?" Wang Liu Mei ended up sitting next to him. She scooted closer; her shoulder was touching his. She looked quite excited about what was to come.
"Lockon and Allelujah joined me full time, and I will be dropping Setsuna into my world to see if it a perfect world that is worth protecting."
The crew twitched when they heard that 50% of their fighting potential just went puff and joined him.
"And Tieria Erde?" Sumeragi asked him.
"He is an Innovade who was designed to work on Aeolia Schenberg's plan. So it is practically impossible for me to persuade him."
"Then use Geass." Milly casually suggested, and Wang Liu Mei nodded at him.
"...Geass?"
Instead of answering, Milly looked at the Captain of Ptolemaios; her right eye was glowing red.
"The power of precurson humans. Their spiritual achievements led them to develop powers that can affect people's brains. We can rewire people, alter their memories, make them imagine things, all of that."
"..."
"In my case, I can manipulate emotions. While my husband… fufufu, what can't he do?" Milly slyly made them guess.
"Maybe, depends." Marcus didn't dismiss that proposal.
"So that's how you were able to embed yourself so deeply into Union and now UN… you can literally brainwash people!" Sumeragi was horrified! This was worse than learning that he has armies!
"I don't usually use my powers. My original power is to assist in the creation and advancement of technology. Though eventually I could copy other Geass users." He explained to her.
"I hate the fact that people want to accuse me of achieving all of this through something as pathetic as mind control.
I made my first mobile suits from scraps in Colonial Japan. I built my company by awing investors and convincing them to believe in my abilities as an engineer.
That's how I got into Union and became their Chief Engineer." He explained to them.
"Yep! That's my future husband!" Wang Liu Mei cuddled into him; she was internally fangirling over how 'cool' he was.
"I see. Then what is going to happen to us?" Sumeragi didn't argue; instead, she moved forward and asked him.
"What did my gorgeous wife suggest?" Marcus replied as she looked at Milly and then at her.
"That she will release us in your Earth to experience the life there."
"I see, so you did read my suggestions in the logs." The Emperor sighed. He felt like she just copied his homework and used it like hers.
"Well, it was in your open notes sections. So I thought it was a great suggestion." Milly puffed as she tried to explain herself.
"Fine, fine. Let's go with it." He resigned, as in the end, he agreed to it.
"Great, then once the portal opens, you guys will be shipped to our Earth. I will give you maybe a year or two of experience.
For you, Feldt, maybe longer, you should enjoy a stable high school life." Milly's eyes shone with excitement as she loved this.
"I know! I will ship you to Ashford Academy!"
"...Ashford Academy?" The pinkette looked confused.
"My maiden surname was Ashford."
"It's where Marcus and I attended the academy." She puffed her chest proudly.
"The premier academy on Earth!" The blonde bragged, but then she recalled something crucial. They have Academy City.
"Though you can attend sophomore years in Academy City in Lagrange 3."
"...I-I see…"
"That sounds cool! You have an entire colony for studying?"
"We are planning an entire solar system for academics, once we reach interplanetary Imperial status," Milly clarified that it was only the beginning. She took a sip of another cup of tea. She has been enjoying this tea party quite a bit.
"That is quite an ambition." Feldt was a bit awed by such a plan!
"We do possess partial FTL technology; in fact, we are at the precipice of unlocking it. Once that technology is widespread, the Milky Way is for humans to take." Marcus said after taking his cup of tea. Midway, he ended up feeding Wang Liu Mei some biscuits; they had been sharing indirect kisses several times already.
"...And the threat of Extraterrestrials?" Sumeragi recalled Aeolia Schenberg's final piece of the plan.
"Already discovered their runs on Mars. We are well aware of their technological levels. Among them, the FTL capabilities are one of the reasons why we have invaded this Earth.
We are gathering people and technology to boost our ability to survive the first encounter."
"Hmm…"
Now that he said that, the brown-haired captain of Ptolemaios was a bit relieved; this was not some random invasion to stroke his ego.
He is worried for his Empire, alien ruins on Mars? That could cause chaos in his world.
"Hmm, your wife said that I could speak with people in the afterlife. Is it true?" She asked him while looking at him with a heated gaze. This was important to her.
After all, she would be abandoning her Earth for another, so she needs some sort of consolation prize.
"Yes. However, resurrection is not recommended for those who have already joined the collective unconscious.
This is because we would be going against the very nature. The people who are dead and not exposed to Geass abilities should not be touched.
While talking with them is possible, they won't be leaving the afterlife because they already moved on." He explained to her how the 'system' works. His mother was fine because Geass kept her away from moving on.
But others? Normal people? Their time is up, and they should not be touched as they don't want to return and leave the collective.
"I see… then I am considering joining you. Though… don't expect much, as you can see you have beaten me quite badly in the tactical field." She said with a sigh. Her declaration left her crew looking surprised.
"If Miss Sumeragi is joining, then I guess we should do it as well," Christina said, making Feldt nod as well.
"Great. That only leaves you guys?" Marcus looked at the guys who were at the back.
"We might. Though we need time." The pair were on the fence for now, and the Emperor was fine with that.
With that said, Celestial Being was all but dismantled and absorbed into the Holy Byzantine Empire.

Sumeragi and her two CIC girls went to check on a very unique person.
It was Chall Acustica.
"I never knew there was another group with Gundams… Celestial Being sure is secretive." Christina was shocked to hear about Fereshte—the second group.
"It does make sense if you think about it. My parents were 2nd-generation Gundam Meisters. They did armed interventions before the world even knew about us." Feldt said with a bit of an excited tone. She is finally going to meet someone who knew her parents!
"That is true, Celestial Being was around way before we joined." Sumeragi smiled a bit. She is going to gather more knowledge about what Marcus has promised.
While she might joined this Empire because her ship was 'sinking', it doesn't mean she will join him without reservations.
Regardless, it was time to see who this lady was.
After knocking on the door, it automatically opened, and what they found was a silver-haired lady sitting in her bed, her entire left side covered in bandages.
"Umm…" Feldt stopped in her tracks as she was nervous. However, her voice brought the lady out of her thoughts.
*Sigh*
"Of course, he would reveal me to you guys." She said with a resigned sigh.
"The glorious Emperor doesn't know how not to poke his nose in other people's things." Chall got a bit annoyed, though there wasn't much fire in her words.
"That is given." Sumeragi smiled as she realised, in a way, what was going on.
"Let me guess, he used promises." The Captain smiled even more; she already had a good idea of how their new ruler operated.
"More than one, and if we don't like it, there was a bit of forceful push." The silver-haired lady said with a sigh.
"I see we are on the same boat then. I am Sumeragi Lee Noriega, though I doubt our codenames mean anything." The Captain of Ptolemaios said with a small smile as she walked alongside the two girls deeper into the medical wing.
"Chall Acustica, and they don't. Celestial Being no longer exists as an organisation for your information. By all means, the mop-up operations are on the way from the Empire. By the end of the day, all of the scientists and researchers will be captured and moved to Academy City on the other side of the portal when it opens."
"...They move quick…" Sumeragi got a bit spooked by the Empire's efficiency.
"They prepared for this for several years." Chall sighed in resignation.
"But look at the bright side, they will be helping humanity one way or another, as theEmpire will use the technology they develop to help this world as well."
The trio had a range of emotions when they heard that their organisation had effectively ceased to exist.
"Do you think he will rule both Earths? I mean… from what I heard, there is only a single portal that is keeping the two worlds connected." Sumeragi asked Chall, she hoped this woman knew more as she wss longer here.
"No. For your information, he won't stay here for long. He is planning to marry Marina Ismail, the Princess of Azadistan, and have their child rule this world as an extension of his Empire." The woman dropped some 'spicy' information.
"...Oh… didn't expect that." Sumeragi blinked a couple of times. That was news to her.
'So he is not a complete control freak; there is hope for him.'
The more she heard, the better she felt; it might be worth her to assist him.
"That Princess? She is quite beautiful." Christina hummed from the side as she was in her little world, thinking about this new information.
"She is, regardless, from what I understand, he will help this world, not just strip mine and take people from here.
I already heard that some of the technology will 'leak' into this world, and that the reforms he is using in his Empire will be implemented.
Though don't take my word for it and look at it with your own eyes." Chall explained to her.
"I will do that."
"...Umm… I heard from Marcus Anaheim that you were a 2nd-generation Gundam Pilot… is it true?" Feldt finally asked her.
"Yes. You want to hear about your parents?" The woman in the bed already knew where this was going.
The pinkette slowly nodded.
"Fine, I suppose I can't get away from this."
With a sigh, she began explaining how she joined Celestial Being at a young age and helped develop the mobile suits. Along the way, she told about Feldt's parents and, in the end, even the accident which left her in this state and how her parents died so that she could live.
It was quite a bombshell for the girl, but she was quite strong mentally and, in the end, accepted their actions to save a friend and the sacrifice.
Midway, the doctor returned and shattered the sombre atmosphere.
"I have got news, Chall, the treatment was a success." The bubbly doctor walked over.
"...It was?" The silver-haired lady looked baffled to hear that.
"The GN poisoning was reversed?"
"Look at this." The doctor brought over a vial, and inside it was her silver hair, but half of it was brown.
"..." Her eyes trembled when she saw her old hair colour.
"We used Gene mutation to alter the damaged DNA, and the rest will fix itself on its own. The nanomachines in your body will eventually fix the scarring, and you should be able to return to 100% in several weeks' time." The doctor explained with a bright smile.
"..."
