Jupiter's addition to the Imperial control was one of the most important expansions in the empire's young history.
While a Gas Giant, with no solid ground, it was not an issue to the Empire, as they could simply add more SWORD-type 3 colonies or just add extra living segments in existing colonies.
That's the magic of that kind of design.
Soon enough, with the first working colonies, GN reactor creation has begun.
To see one come to life, people from G-Force arrived to witness it firsthand.
"This is!" Lloyd's face was nearly kissing the glass of the window as he stared at what was happening in the chamber.
People were working in heavy anti-radiation suits around a rapidly rotating cone-shaped engine.
"First-ever GN reactor built by our Empire!" The pudding-loving scientist exclaimed.
"Indeed. It didn't take you guys long to finish it. We back then hadn't figured it out." Ian said while scratching the back of his head.
"So it was true then? Celestial Being thought that five reactors would be enough?" Sakuya, who was there, asked with disbelief.
"Indeed. Now that I think about it, they were extremely naive to some extent." Ian grimaced to some extent.
"I wouldn't say it like that." All of a sudden, another voice said as this individual entered the observation room.
It was a bald man, and no other than Aeolia Schenberg.
He walked over and looked at the sixth engine to be 'born'.
"The process of its creation is the hardest part. I didn't foresee that people would create a mockery of the GN drive.
That Corner family. Their greed knew no bounds." He frowned while commenting on what happened on the other Earth.
"That." Lloyd nodded at him, not caring that much.
"Thankfully, we can utilise this technology on a much larger scale.
All of the mobile suits and spaceships will have it; it's part of functioning jump drive technology." Sakuya commented as she saw it.
"Indeed. The Fusion technology the Empire created is truly fascinating." The bald man said, with a smile, that his curiosity had been piqued to a considerable degree, as he had been chipping in and assisting with 4th-generation development.
A greater sun in the reactor means stronger gravity, which makes it easier for gravity resonators to work.
While it was amazing, the 4th generation was years away for a simple reason: they don't have the means to keep such a heavy star as light as possible.
The initial design was to utilise Eezo, but they have only a very small amount of Element Zero.
But this is where the experts of Celestial Being came to play. Why not use GN particles?
GN particles have the same traits as Eezo! Even more in fact!
That is where Marcus issued an Imperial decree to create a 4th-generation fusion reactor.
With an Imperial degree in place, the Empire automatically allocated a budget to a new collaboration project among the Energy Division, the G-Force, and the Academy City.
It was becoming especially easier with GN drives creation.
The GN drive loadouts were assigned to all the G-Force Gundams, and work on the Knight's Cataphract replacement began as well.
The mass-production models entered phase two of development as the military began its development.
Before long, things began to settle down. The excitement about Jupiter died down. Well, it didn't die down; more precisely, it was just there, people were moving in droves, for all the projects in the Gas Giant's territory.
Then another major project was nearing the end of phase one.
And that was Venus.
~~~~~~A Year Later~~~~~~
Approximately a year after Jupiter's expansion, the construction of the Carbon Extractor was complete.
Well, it wasn't just a carbon extractor. It can extract any sort of atmosphere from a planet. While everyone concluded that it could be a deadly weapon, Nina didn't create it for that.
When Marcus saw it, his first impression was that it was a scaled-down Colossus from Stellaris.
The Emperor shook his head in amusement. Nina couldn't escape her fate of creating a super weapon. In other timelines, she would create nukes, in his one… she took her gloves off and created something that could rip out the atmosphere from a planet.
If Marcus is to scale it up, he could have a literal Colossus, a world cracker if the Emperor alters the method of shooting.
Well, the thing is, the design isn't that complex; the hardest parts are the gravity-resonance railings and the fusion reactor.
For now, Marcus shelved the Colossus idea, as he is not at war with aliens…yet.
Instead, Marcus and members of his family arrived in Venus colonies to watch the orange clouds shrink, and the planet's surface reveal itself.
"You know… I hope that the first world we will colonise won't be a lump of molten rocks." Euphemia, who was heavily pregnant, commented with a hopeful tone.
"You wish, this world had a temperature of 300 degrees Celsius for millions of years, what do you think there could be on this planet?" Cornelia, who was acting like Euphemia's bodyguard, commented.
Let's just say that the older sibling was not happy that Euphemia not only married Marcus but got pregnant.
The older sibling even went to the other world to pick Euphemia up.
Still, the anger didn't last for long, as at the end of the day, she concluded that there was no better choice for a husband for the Pink Princess.
"You are such a spoil sport, sister," Euphemia complained as she simply gazed at the planet that got its carbon sucked out.
"We will colonise Centauria first. That is simply the better option." Cornelia ignored her complaints as she explained, arms crossed.
People are far more intrigued to settle in that world. In fact, Marcus played along and declared that a million colonisers would move to Centauria—the third world of the middle star of Alpha Centauri.
Since it was not named World, the senate, with Marcus' approval, named that world Centauria.
Now there is a massive amount of potential for the Trinari Solar system of Alpha Centauri.
Two volcanic worlds, two volcanic moons, a toxic world that could be and will be terraformed, alongside two Gas Giants that the empire will turn into factories of GN technology.
Especially the two volcanic moons and planets are ready for harvest. Minerals of these four worlds will cause a massive leap in the Empire's expansion engine.
"Hmph, but I suppose it's the novelty that we are turning Venus into a habitable world." The pinkette commented that this world would be far better to exploit and mine now that the Carbon Extractor has stripped away the thick layers of atmosphere.
"Of course, this world and Mars will be terraformed simply because they are what they are, an iconic world in our history and mythology," Cornelia reassured. She knows her brother well by this point.
He is a history and mythology buff through and through; he won't shelve Venus's terraforming simply because it's a huge, active volcano.
These ladies were not the only ones who were on the observation deck of the core colony of Venus.
It was a massive glass dome at the top of the SWORD type 2 colony.
There was another pair of girls who were here as well. These two were Marcus' Princess-wife, as he called her, Marina… she was no longer Ismail but Anaheim.
And in her hands was a small baby with black hair and purple eyes.
Next to her was her assistant, Shirin, who ended up following her to this reality. They were here to see Marcus' Empire in action and what they are capable of.
Moments later, large double doors behind them opened, and Emperor, followed by Nina Einstein, Leila and Anna, strolled in. They were here to see the reveal themselves and, at the same time, to decide on the funding scale for the next phase of the terraforming effort.
The Carbon Extractor, basically a space station-sized 'vacuum cleaner', was a massive success. It became another asset in the Empire's Terraforming branch of technology.
Another one of these, the Empire, will be built above Teleman's fourth world, the one next to Centauria.
The Emperor immediately went to one of his darling wives, holding the cute baby. He immediately smiled, seeing how cute his son was.
His other wives followed after him. Anna looked quite jealous because she wanted a second child, while Leila had mixed emotions: she wanted one, yet at the same time, she did not.
'But since I am an Innovator, my body must have changed as well?'
The blonde transitioned to an Innovator; she lost her beautiful blue eyes, but the perks of that were an array of abilities beyond those of mundane humans.
"Oh, gosh, my little Emperor looks so cute."
Marina rolled her eyes when she heard that coming from Marcus's mouth.
"Yet you named him after a conqueror. I am still annoyed by that." The black-haired Princess-wife of his complained again.
Marcus decided to name him after the conqueror of Persia, Iskandar himself!
He found it funny in a sense since he got himself a 'Persian' wife, so why not a son after a Persian Conqueror?
"Conquering Emperor, sounds good in my books." The Emperor sagely nodded at what he just said.
"...Ugh…" Marina groaned.
"You will get used to his silliness. It's nothing new." Leila sighed as she commented from the side.
"True, at least he didn't name one after a Roman General, and gender-bent its name." Anna sighed as well.
After all, Marcus named his daughters Claudia, who is the female version of Claudius, and Julia, who is the female version of Julius.
"Great names, I don't know why you're complaining, I won't name my kids Bob, Tim or whatever…" Marcus huffed as he crossed his arms and looked away towards the planet.
"I find it's fine." Nina, who was gushing at the child, eventually…and always will take her Emperor's side. She is his greatest fan and true cheerleader.
'Of course you do.'
Leila rolled her eyes at the nerdy girl.
"Anyway, Lulu! I will name my daughter!" Euphemia walked over to them.
"..."
The pinkette began to pout as the Emperor was not giving up that easily!
*Pout Intensify*
"..."
"Fine, but I do have veto right, legal veto, mind you." Marcus caved in; he can't resist that pout.
"Hmph, it's not fair that you can do that!"
He shrugged; he was the Emperor.
"Anyway, enough about your kids. Look at this." Cornelia got everyone's attention.
Everyone turned their gaze to the clearing clouds.
"..."
"..."
"..."
What they saw was a black-and-red world.
"...I see… because how weak is Venus rotation, the Sun's gravitational pull is shredding the planet's crust," Nina commented as she looked at the world below them.
"It was exactly what we feared." Leila sighed as she looked at her husband.
"I suppose I should allocate the resources for the next big toy?"
"It would be for the best," Nina replied as she turned around and looked at Leila and then at Marcus.
"We will need the Gravity Hammer for future terraforming regardless." The nerdy girl clarified.
"She is right," Marcus nodded as he took his son from Marina's hands and began to cuddle.
"The Hammer will be essential in tidally locked worlds. Like the one in Proxima Centauri."
"...You are going to terraform it just for fun and giggles, aren't you?" Cornelia groaned, knowing he would terraform it because people thought it was their first candidate for colonisation; they thought they could colonise another solar system.
It's his way of saying: 'Sure, why not?'
"You know me well, sister." The Emperor smiled at her as he kept holding his little prince.
"...Right… so, I will get myself ahead and arrange your resources, Nina." Leila summoned her console and assigned the resources she would need for the Gravity Hammer.
It's another 'Super Weapon', one only needs to upscale it, and then it could crack planets like eggs. But on a smaller scale, one could target a planet's 'edge' and begin to push it, or more precisely, hammer it, and bit by bit the world will begin to spin.
Thus, Nina created another super weapon, as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Thankfully, Marcus is not Schneizel, who would abuse these inventions the moment he could.
'Maybe I should make him a general against some aliens? I want to see him utterly crush… maybe those four eyes?
No one would miss those slavers.'
Marcus pondered as he poked his son's cheek.
