Chapter 42 — A Morning That Shows No Mercy to the Lazy

Scene 1 — Morning
With the first thread of sunlight, a golden ray slipped through the window and fell upon the cold wooden floor, like an alarm bell for a new day… a day that had no intention of showing mercy.
Kazu stepped out of the room with calm steps, his eyes half-open, and headed straight toward Kiura and Renion.
He paused for a moment… then shouted in a voice that pierced the place:
(Kazu: Wake up, you idiots!)
But the only response was… snoring.
Kazu lowered his head and looked at them.
Drool was dripping from Kiura's mouth, and a small bubble came out of his nose with every breath, while Renion was in a deep sleep without a single worry.
A devilish smile appeared on Kazu's face.
He raised his hand, grabbed a wooden stick, then put on a white cap.
He grabbed his shirt and tore it… then did the same with his pants.
A full white uniform appeared, with the number 15 in gold at the center, and his name beneath it.
In the background…
A deep voice echoed as if from another world:
(The Voice: Get ready…)
Kazu stepped back with his right foot, left foot forward.
(The Voice: Aim…)
He pulled his arms back, gripping the bat with all his strength.
(The Voice: Swing…)
Kazu swung the bat harshly, striking Kiura on the head.
Kiura fell to the ground, his eyes open… but completely white.
Then he struck Renion, but with less force.
(The Voice: GOOOOAL!!!)
(Kazu, shouting: Wake up! Come on!)
Suddenly—
A flying shoe appeared from the side and hit him directly in the face, sending Kazu flying to the ground.
At that moment, Miro appeared at the door, her hair messy and her eyes burning with anger.
(Miro, angrily: Be quiet, your shouting is annoying… the children will wake up!)
Kazu quickly stood up, embarrassed.
(Kazu: Sorry…)
Kiura and Renion stood up, each with a clear bruise on their head.
(Renion: Why did you do that?)
(Kiura: That… hurts.)
Kiura lowered his gaze to his hand.
Only his fingers remained, surrounded by a calm black flame that didn't burn, didn't hurt… but it was alive.
(Kiura: My hand has almost returned… great.)
Renion stepped closer, staring at him with concern.
(Renion: Kiura, where did you go? And why is there black fire on your hand?)
Kiura rubbed his hair nervously.

Nero came out, followed by Huffy.
Both were holding stuffed bears.
Nero walked forward, rubbing her eyes, sat at the table, and placed her head on it.

Kiura smiled mischievously.

He stood up and walked toward him.
Kazu grabbed bread and tea and said in a calm warning tone:

He got closer.

The teddy bear in his hand began to grow…

Until it became gigantic.
Kiura started sweating and stepped back.

Renion laughed.

His veins bulged, his teeth clenched, and a sharp sound came out.

Renion immediately lowered her head.

(Kazu: That's better.)
The giant bear stepped closer to Kiura.
(Kiura: Oh no…)
