Chapter 6 - 6

Ch. 6

Two hours ago.

In the depths of space, a Spirit Ship traveled at an astonishing speed, leaving behind a trail of azure light as it crossed the vast darkness between planets.

Inside the passenger cabin, there were only three passengers. The Seventh Planet of the Xuan Civilization was not a popular place, and few people from there had funds to book a First Class Spirit Ship.

A young man around seventeen suddenly opened his eyes.

"What the fuck?! Where am I?!"

His sudden outburst shattered the silence of the cabin.

The two other passengers turned their heads in surprise.

They had not expected such crude words to come from someone who looked like a sunny and handsome boy.

The boy looked like he had a sudden realization and quickly said,

"Sorry! It was just a bad dream… No, not a bad dream. A nightmare"

The two passengers who had been startled looked at him. Originally, they had been slightly annoyed by his sudden outburst. However, when they saw those clear peach-blossom eyes and his harmless, apologetic expression, their irritation somehow disappeared.

The two passengers exchanged glances.

Such a handsome young man... yet he really doesn't know how to control his mouth when he wakes up.

'Sigh... this can't be real.'

The boy turned his gaze toward the window.

Beyond the transparent glass, endless space stretched across his vision.

The vast darkness of the cosmos permeated every corner, broken only by countless distant stars that glittered like scattered jewels across the heavens.

Nebulas painted the void with magnificent colors, while distant planets silently drifted through the endless expanse.

It was a scene of breathtaking beauty, one that no painting or photograph could ever truly capture.

At least...

If he had really transmigrated, he had arrived in a world with a spectacular view.

'System... are you there?'

The boy called out cautiously in his mind.

The reason he had suddenly looked as though he had realized something moments ago was because an alluring voice had unexpectedly echoed inside his head, filled with girlish charm.

[Host, please calm down.]

[Based on my analysis, you have successfully transmigrated!]

[Congratulations! I am your system. You may call me Yuxin.]

He waited for a response. However… Silence.

As a post-00s internet degenerate who had died from overwork in his early twenties, he was no stranger to web novels, games, or transmigration stories. Between cultivation epics, system novels, and countless hours wasted scrolling forums, he had seen every cliché imaginable.

A mysterious voice in his head? A system! It said something about transmigration?

Combined with the unfamiliar body he had awakened in, he was already 98% certain he had transmigrated. The remaining 2% was reserved for the possibility that he had collapsed at his desk again and this was an absurdly vivid dream.

After a moment, he recalled the name it had given him.

Yuxin?

He cautiously called out in his mind once more.

'Yuxin? Are you there?'

[Yes Host! I am your System! My name is Yuxin, I'll help you ascend to Immortality!]

[You have successfully transmigrated into the Nine Heavens Realm of the Myriad Worlds]

[After analysis, this body is currently incomplete. Its soul is merely an empty shell, lacking true consciousness.]

[After merging the Host's soul with this body, your soul will become complete.]

[Your current identity is Shen Ziye.]

[I will now begin the process of merging your memories.]

The moment Yuxin's voice fell, a torrent of memories surged into Shen Ziye's mind.

Countless unfamiliar scenes flashed before his eyes.

Yet strangely...

The process was not as painful or overwhelming as he had imagined. It was almost as if someone was gently massaging his head, easing away all discomfort.

Shen Ziye leaned back against his seat and relaxed.

After about the time it took an incense stick to burn, a strange expression appeared on his face.

'Yuxin... What's wrong with the Ziye of this world?'

From what he had pieced together, this was a high-martial cultivation universe where powerful cultivators could split mountains with a single strike and part seas with a wave of their hand.

The Xuan Civilization was a newly awakened cultivation civilization. A thousand years ago, spiritual qi had resurged, ushering in an era of cultivation. Not long ago, they had officially joined the Human Alliance, a colossal force that seemed to possess great influence throughout the universe.

But none of that mattered, What surprised him...

...was the owner of this body.

Shen Ziye lived with his breathtakingly beautiful mother on the Seventh Planet, one of the more rural worlds within the Xuan Civilization.

Yet ever since childhood, the only thing this guy seemed interested in was sleeping.

Even stranger, his personality was exceptionally slow and absent-minded. He would stare blankly into space for long stretches of time, react several beats later than everyone else, and rarely spoke unless spoken to.

The neighbors often shook their heads and sighed that he was a simpleton blessed by heaven.

Shen Ziye rubbed his temples.

Just then, Yuxin's voice rang out once more, more urgent than before.

[Host, I exhausted most of my power to bring your soul here while concealing your existence from the Heavenly Dao. I do not have much time, so listen carefully.]

[This body was born with a Chaos Sword Body and on top of that it's innate! Even within the Immortal Realm, such a physique would shake countless immortal sects. It is a supreme constitution that should never have appeared in any world let alone in the lower worlds.]

Shen Ziye's eyes narrowed.

[While still in the womb, the Chaos Sword Body instinctively absorbed nearly all of the infant's essence, vitality, and spiritual nourishment to complete its own foundation.]

[As a result, the body's talent reached an inconceivable level... but the soul was left weak and incomplete. His consciousness never fully developed. His mind remained that of a child, his soul flickering like a candle in the wind.]

[The Heavenly Dao wouldn't allow such a being to exist!]

A brief silence followed. Then Yuxin continued.

[I brought your soul across worlds at the very instant of your death.]

[Host, your fate should not have ended in that ordinary world. With my guidance, you possess the qualifications to walk the path of immortality!]

[I will help you fight against the Destined sons and daughters of heavens and help you fight the heavens! Should you overcome the Heavenly Dao and ascend beyond the Immortal Realm, you can remain in this world, or I can reincarnate you into your original world. You will be born with a flawless physique, unparalleled talent, and wealth beyond the imagination of mortals.]

[Will host bind with the system 'Yuxin'? [Accept] [Deny]]

The System's voice methodically laid out every condition with practiced ease, as though it had spent centuries working in sales. Coupled with its smooth, seductive tone, it reminded Shen Ziye of the flawless secretaries that always stood beside wealthy CEOs in television dramas.

A moment later, a playful smirk tugged at the corners of the handsome youth's lips.

"I refuse."

[Congratulations, Host! We have successfully formed a Soul Contract. I am now officially your System, Yuxin. From this day forward, I shall forev—]

The cheerful voice came to an abrupt halt.

[…Huh? …Eh?!!!]

Within a shattered dimension, hidden deep inside an ancient secret realm, stood a solitary tower. It pierced the heavens like a divine pillar, untouched by the passage of time.

At the summit of the tower...

A pair of enchanting magenta eyes suddenly trembled.

For the first time in countless eons, genuine shock appeared within them.

No one who saw her would believe she was an existence capable of overlooking the myriad heavens. She appeared to be nothing more than a young woman in her early twenties.

Her short violet hair framed a face of breathtaking beauty, while her luminous magenta eyes seemed capable of stealing one's soul. Her skin was as flawless as polished jade, her rosy lips delicate and soft, and every feature was exquisitely sculpted, as though crafted by the heavens themselves.

Yet despite her youthful appearance, she carried an indescribable aura of majesty. And yet...

That same unparalleled existence was currently pacing back and forth across the magnificent hall, her brows tightly knitted.

"How can there be someone so unreasonable?"

She stopped in her tracks, her beautiful face full of disbelief.

"What kind of person refuses a System?"

"Who doesn't want to cultivate to immortality?"

She began pacing again, muttering to herself.

"Aren't Systems and Rebirths the most popular tropes these days? Over the past few centuries alone, I've watched countless souls cheat death with my own eyes."

Taking a deep breath, Yuxin composed herself.

Through the fragment of her spirit acting as the System, she spoke once more.

[Ziye... what is it? Is there something you're dissatisfied with?]

[I can help you overcome every obstacle on the path of cultivation.]

She paused before hurriedly adding,

[At your aptitude, I could guide you to immortality within a thousand years.]

A brief silence.

[...No. With your talent... even a hundred years should be enough.]

Shen Ziye pondered for a moment before letting out a derisive snort.

"Yuxin..."

He shook his head with a look of pity.

"Oh, naive Yuxin. Even a dog wouldn't cultivate."

Yuxin : "..."
