Chapter 71 - Episode 70 - The Unison of Ruin

The Z fighters crashed hard into the ground, gasping for air.

Piccolo: *Piccolo pushed himself up on shaking arms.* Is... everyone alive? *He grimaced.*

The others began to stir around him, groans and curses filling the air. But instead of answering Piccolo's common question, everyone present looked up at the sky. The wave of energy shoots up like a rocket, and everything turns cold. The sky cracked. Not with thunder, not with lightning—but as if reality itself had split open. A towering column of pure white-gold energy surged upward, piercing the atmosphere like a divine spear. Clouds shredded apart, stars flickered and vanished in its wake. And then—silence.

A perfect vacuum of sound. The wind stopped. Breathing felt heavy. Even time seemed to hesitate. At the epicenter stood two figures—tall, radiant... transformed. A mixture between Goku and Vegeta's strongest forms. White silver hair like Goku's eyes when in ultra instinct and eyes royal purple like Vegeta's hair when in ultra ego. The ki rolls off of them in intense waves that made some of the fighters look down at their feet as they shivered.

Piccolo: *Piccolo shuddered, sweat beading on his face.* I've never felt...anything like this…

Gohan: *Gohan's jaw hung open.* It's not just ki... it's something more. It's like...

Yamcha: *Yamcha struggled to find the words.* Like a pulse. Or a resonate. Something you can feel in your bones, deep in your very soul.

Tien: *Tien's face was tight as he, too, felt the pressure weighing on them all.* An energy so perfect, so focused... it's almost like it's alive.

He felt a sudden shiver run down his spine. Vegeta, too, had gone oddly still—an almost imperceptible shiver in his body.

Krillin: *Krillin grimaced, unable to tear his gaze away from the ground. Unable to move a muscle.* I don't like this—they're too damn powerful. How the hell can a transformation be this strong?

Goku took a step closer, but seems to struggle, like this moving against a gravity pull that's the strongest that he'd ever felt. Goku's muscles trembled with each step forward, his boots grinding against the cracked earth. Every breath was a fight, as if invisible hands pressed down on his shoulders—no, not hands… something deeper. A will.

Goku: Goten… *he managed to grunt.*

Goten: *Goten forms a ball of energy, that resembles that of Melody's Zanzabee beam, in the palm of his hand and aim it into a random direction.* Take another step and... *Goten said but didn't think it's needed to finish his sentence.*

Melody mimic his action and aims in the opposite direction. The air turned electric, the two energy spheres crackling with raw power—Goten's a deep indigo laced with gold, Melody's a swirling violet-black that pulsed like a heartbeat. No one moved. No one dared.

Vegeta: *Even Vegeta narrowed his eyes, voice low.* They're not just warning us... they're testing their limits.

Suddenly—with perfect symmetry, both fired. Twin beams ripped through space—one slicing eastward into the shattered mountain range, reducing it to molten glass in an instant. The other tore westward across the ocean trench—boiling entire waves into vapor and cracking the seabed beneath. The shockwave knocked everyone off balance again—but this time… it wasn't just force. It was precision. Perfection. Two shots fired simultaneously from opposite directions… yet they ended at exactly the same time—with no wasted energy or stray ki. In effort Goku lifts up his hands in surrender.

Vegeta: *Vegeta mirrors him,* Please, spare Earthland?

Gohan and the others watch Earth's strongest heroes with widened eyes, stunned. It was surreal. More than that. It was terrifying.

Krillin: *Krillin swallowed hard, his voice barely a whisper.* Are they even still themselves?

Melody: You both failed to destroy, *Melody said.*

Goten: ... this weistland you call home, *Goten finished her sentence.*

M & G: You're all traitors, and traitors has to die! *They threaten in unison.*

A chill ran down the Z fighters' spines. There was something about their voices. A duality so complete, so in sync it was almost like two halves of one mind. Piccolo tries to take a step forward, but instead coughed blood on the ground.
