"!!! Don't faint!" Kote Vizsla panicked as he watched Sesayia lean backward, wondering if this was some kind of trick.
He caught her before she could hit the ground, and upon closer inspection, he saw the Second Princess's face was beet red; using The Force to sense her emotions, he could tell she was extremely agitated—agitated enough to faint, though perhaps that had to do with the previous operation.
Seeing the Second Princess had fainted, Kote Vizsla had his men take her back to the medical bay on the Hyperion for an examination, while he stayed behind to make arrangements.
The first officer on the veronia was the person who knew the most about the situation on the ship, so Kote Vizsla questioned her first.
"First Officer, did they attack you first, or did you attack them first?"
The first officer appeared to be thinking before she answered.
"We attacked them first. At the time, we detected unknown fluctuations on the radar and couldn't establish communication, so we chose to attack their craft, but our firepower wasn't enough to finish them off."
"They are the Yuuzhan Vong. In the future, if you encounter such ships, remember to contact me immediately. You should return to Vadir to rest and regroup; leave the rest to me. Tell your captain he did well, but he was still a bit reckless. Next time you encounter people from the Trade Federation, contact them and mention my name." Kote Vizsla instructed the first officer, then took the rescue soldiers back to the Hyperion.
After all, there was something here that interested him greatly: a Yuuzhan Vong outpost or a group of scouts.
"Adjutant, send Ravens to every planet with life in this system and have them check which one has the Yuuzhan Vong outpost." Kote Vizsla returned to his bridge and ordered his adjutant.
"Understood, Commander. However, I have some personal insights regarding these Yuuzhan Vong." The adjutant indicated he had some thoughts.
"What insights? Let's hear them." Kote Vizsla himself had practically zero data on the Yuuzhan Vong; he couldn't remember anything about them from his past life, except that they specialized in disguise and infiltration.
"This... I still need to finish dissecting the corpses of this species and analyzing their weapons. But based on the footage, the Yuuzhan Vong's technology, like the Zerg, utilizes biotechnology. However, when compared, a Yuuzhan Vong soldier is much stronger than a standard Zergling, yet they don't seem to possess the same overwhelming power as the Zerg. If they truly intend to invade the Galaxy, it is impossible for them to survive on just any planet like the Zerg, and logistics will be their biggest hurdle." The adjutant compared the data using existing conditions and the database in his memory.
Kote Vizsla nodded; this aligned with his own thoughts. As outsiders coming from another Galaxy, logistics, maps, and intelligence would be the most critical factors. Even if many planets surrendered under their tyranny, those three points would become the opening that leads to their failure. He just needed to ensure he could cut those three points off when the time came.
"Very true. But thinking about this now is just speculation. Until they truly invade, everything is just a guess. Let's focus on the matter at hand for now."
"Understood, Commander. Then I will go dissect their corpses." The adjutant, using a B1 body, nodded and walked out.
Kote Vizsla headed to the medical bay to see if Second Princess Sesia had woken up, as he still had things to ask and say.
Walking into the medical bay, a medical droid approached and led Kote Vizsla to the room where Sesayia was staying.
"How is the Princess doing?" Kote Vizsla asked.
"Her body is completely fine, but she is slightly sub-optimal in health, which is why this happened when her emotions peaked. She has already woken up and was just about to look for you when you arrived." The medical droid explained Sesayia's physical condition.
Arriving at the door of Sesayia's room, he saw the Second Princess questioning the medical droid assigned to her. Upon hearing footsteps, she turned around and saw Kote Vizsla, who had come to visit her.
Her face instantly turned beet red, as if she were seeing an idol.
However, before Kote Vizsla could say anything this time, she stepped forward and extended her hand.
"Duke Kote, hello. I am very sorry for being so rude earlier, but that was just excitement at seeing you. I am much better now, and I am sorry for troubling you with a personal visit."
"Oh, oh, I forgot to introduce myself formally. I am Sesayia, the second daughter of Queen Nickrish of the Hapes Consortium, and I will be Mandalore's most loyal ally!" Sesayia mustered her courage, lifted her head, and shouted loudly.
"You're very spirited. But didn't you say earlier that you were thinking about a political marriage?" Kote Vizsla didn't have anything else to do, so he decided to tease Sesayia.
Upon hearing this, Princess Sesayia, who had just mustered her courage, instantly blushed, lowered her head, and whispered.
"I thought you didn't hear me, Duke Kote... But it's not impossible. When I truly become Queen, I will propose..." Her voice grew quieter and quieter until it was inaudible at the end.
Sesayia was acting completely like a little girl at this moment. After all, even though she had grown up amidst the power struggles of the royal palace, there were only two extremes for such beauty in her heart: one was hiding it deep down and showing a little girl's demeanor once she encountered it, and the other was treating such romance entirely as a tool for advancement.
Obviously, our Princess Sesayia was the second type.
Seeing Sesayia like this, Kote Vizsla quickly became serious. He didn't want her to actually propose to him later; he had no intention of engaging in romance, as it was too much of a waste of time.
"Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore. Tell me in detail about the situation in the Hapes Consortium, as well as your sister and mother."
Sesayia felt a bit disappointed upon hearing that Kote Vizsla was just teasing her, but it was only for a fleeting moment. She immediately began to explain the situation of her government and planet to Kote Vizsla.
"The Hapes Consortium is a..." Sesayia explained the culture and politics of the Hapes Consortium to Kote Vizsla.
"So, such palace intrigue is a completely normal occurrence in your royal palace—sisters killing sisters, mothers killing children, children killing everyone, just to select the strongest one to become Queen?" Kote Vizsla was a bit surprised. He hadn't expected them to be so backward; a government capable of interstellar travel was surprisingly closed-off. Well, perhaps it was because they had been closed-off for too long.
"Mm-hmm." Sesayia nodded.
"And there is even a very strong anti-Jedi sentiment?"
"That's right. If you were to go, ninety percent of the people would be dissatisfied in their hearts, though they wouldn't say it out loud. This has a lot to do not only with history from a thousand years ago but also with my mother, Nickrish. She is the person in the Hapes Consortium who hates the Jedi the most right now. This cooperation with the outside world is also an attempt to seek a powerful ally to attack the Jedi. That's why my sister chose the Trade Federation, and I chose you."
Kote Vizsla hadn't expected this situation—they were actually enemies of the Jedi Order. Just how many enemies did these guys have? Come to think of it, he could also be considered half an enemy.
