The answer was never to appear as if they wanted to run away.
As someone who had once successfully run away from home, Eugene considered himself quite an expert at such things. He manifested as an omega when he was sixteen--quite late for today's standard--and after enduring abuse for seven months, decided to run away from home on the day he turned seventeen.
