The front door opened, and Hannah, who had been waiting in the living room, ran to the foyer in unmasked excitement.
"Uncle!" she called out cheerfully to the tall man who was blocking the sunlight coming through the open door.
There was a picnic basket in his hand, and even though she was calling for the man, her eyes were focused on the basket.
Arthur couldn't help but laugh at a child's honesty. He went down on one knee and bowed with a hand over his chest. "Good afternoon, Princess."
"Ah," Hannah immediately shifted her tone of speaking as she curtsied. "Good afternoon, Uncle Fairy."
"You care more about the picnic basket than me, huh?" Arthur smirked.
Hannah giggled sheepishly, but that didn't stop her from fiddling with the edge of the basket's flap. Hearing her voice, another set of footsteps entered the foyer, along with a little gasp.
