Eugene smiled as he carefully placed his phone on a stand. His lethargic body instantly filled with energy when he saw the bright smile through the screen. Even his feverish body seemed to be cooling down slightly just from hearing her voice.
"Good evening, Miss Hana," Eugene replied softly, half because he was happy, and half because he was still feeling weak.
[Papa, have you eaten your dinner?] Hannah asked eagerly. She was in the spare pajamas that Sophie bought her for sleepovers; her hair was down, pooling around her shoulder, since she was lying down against a bunch of pillows. Her face filled the screen, but Eugene could see the fabric of Arthur's couch on the back.
Eugene pulled the curry and bread to the front of the phone, as if he were doing a mukbang. "I'm eating it now~"
[Oh, oh--how it taste, Papa?] the girl asked nervously.
