"Uncle! Wake—oh, you're already awake."
Samantha walked inside the bedroom nonchalantly after almost slamming the door against the wall. Arthur was sitting on his bed, blankly looking out the window without moving an inch. If it wasn't for his moving chest, Samantha would have thought her uncle turned into a statue.
She approached the bed and tilted her head, frowning slightly as she tugged on her uncle's arm. "Uncle, are you alright?" she asked carefully, tilting her head to observe her uncle's face. "You're not sick, are you?"
"Me...?" Arthur blinked slowly, taking his time to focus on his niece's presence. "Do I have a fever?"
Samantha gasped worriedly and immediately slammed her palm against her uncle's forehead. Arthur merely blinked at that rough attempt at measuring his temperature.
