"Your test...seems fine," the doctor said when they visited the clinic the next day, staring at the chart after a blood and urine test. She glanced at Eugene and said, almost as if he was a miracle worker. "Your body worked very hard, Mr. Eugene."
"Phew..." Eugene breathed in relief, unconsciously hugging his abdomen. "So...I don't have to do anything specific?"
"Well, in a way, since your body managed to survive those conditions in the past, your body probably got trained and hardened already," the doctor said, putting the chart down. "By that logic, you should be able to go through this pregnancy in a better state."
Eugene nodded, once again breathing in relief. Well...everything was already better than the last time. He survived not taking supplements for half the term, almost fell into alcohol poisoning, didn't get any pheromone from his alpha, and had to battle depression. This time, there was none of that.
