Chapter 379 - Chapter 378 — Three Factions Make Their Move! A Logia Devil Fruit User

Amid the chaos—

Reis Max strode out of the grand casino.

In one hand, he dragged Buggy's body—bound in Seastone cuffs.

In the other, he carried a box.

Inside it—

was Buggy's head.

As he walked forward—

the frenzied gamblers, scrambling for chips and money, silently parted.

A clear path opened.

In the midst of such madness—

it was almost surreal.

It wasn't that everyone feared Reis Max.

Rather—

behind him stood seven or eight figures, each dressed differently, each radiating danger.

No one wanted trouble.

This was the territory of the Magic Eye Pirates.

Anyone daring to cause chaos here—

was far beyond what ordinary people could afford to provoke.

Even in their frenzy—

the gamblers retained just enough sense.

BOOM!

The luxurious golden-red casino doors were blasted open.

Fragments scattered everywhere.

Reis Max stepped outside with the hidden Revolutionary Army members—

into a city already descending into disorder.

"What a lively scene!"

He laughed heartily.

"That just means everyone's thinking the same thing," the blond manager beside him said with a chuckle.

"Now that the 'Magician' Kanki is gone, this is the perfect opportunity—no matter their goals."

As he spoke, the manager casually took Buggy's body and slung it over his shoulder.

The Seastone cuffs left Buggy completely limp.

Only the head—

sealed inside a Seastone-lined box—

continued to spit out weak curses.

No one paid it any attention.

"Still…" the manager added thoughtfully, "I wonder why the Whitebeard Pirates showed up."

Reis Max removed his white top hat and tossed it aside.

Then he turned—

his gaze locking onto the most dazzling structure on the island.

The Golden Hotel.

"Whitebeard is irrelevant to us," he said firmly.

"Our objective is the same—"

"The top floor of the Golden Hotel."

Everyone's expression tightened.

"Move."

In an instant—

they all surged forward.

At the same time—

on a ten-story building across from the Golden Hotel—

three figures stood at the rooftop edge.

White suits.

White cloaks.

Strange masks.

CP0.

Their gaze wasn't on the fifty armed guards below—

but on the man seated at the center of the entrance.

Cross-legged.

Head lowered.

As if asleep.

"Beast Tamer" Mohji.

"A troublesome one," one of them said flatly.

"There's no other way in?" the central figure asked, glancing down.

At his feet—

Tanaka lay beaten and trembling.

"N-no… only the front…"

"Then we'll have to force our way through."

"Not yet," said the man with the crimson mask calmly.

"The giants at the port have been occupied."

"The Magic Eye Pirates currently have only four operatives available—"

"Mohji, Marianne, Buggy… and Vice Captain Conrad."

"Buggy's already been taken by the Revolutionaries."

"The other two haven't appeared."

"Conrad… is likely on the top floor."

"That's the real threat."

Silence fell.

"…Then let's see what Big Mom's side does," another CP0 agent chuckled.

"She's quite interested in the Magic Eye Pirates."

On the ground—

Tanaka trembled.

Revolutionaries.

CP0.

A Yonko.

All moving at once.

No wonder everything had collapsed into chaos so quickly.

Reis Max's group advanced rapidly.

Then—

he suddenly raised a hand.

"Stop."

Everyone froze.

"Come out."

A playing card appeared in his hand as he stared coldly at a nearby alley.

A distorted voice echoed—

amplified.

"You look drunk… but your senses are sharp."

"Well done. You haven't lost your edge."

Reis Max paused—

then broke into a grin.

"Long time no see… Mr. Karasu."

A tall figure stepped out.

Pale skin.

A metallic plague doctor mask.

A black feathered coat—

that writhed like a living thing.

Karasu.

One of the Revolutionary Army's commanders.

"You don't have enough manpower," Karasu said flatly.

"Dragon sent me."

Reis Max's grin widened.

"Perfect timing."

They didn't waste words.

Together—

they moved again.

At the Golden Hotel entrance—

a crimson carpet stretched outward.

Gold-thread clovers shimmered across its surface.

But no one was admiring it.

All eyes—

were on the left street.

"Caw—!"

"Caw—!"

A flood of black crows surged forward.

"Fire!!"

Gunshots rang out.

Bullets tore through the flock—

but passed straight through.

No effect.

The crows closed in.

Fear spread.

"…Disturbing someone's sleep isn't very polite."

Mohji slowly raised his head.

Dark red mana surged.

"Crows?"

"Heh… Feather Shot."

Crimson feathers shot forward—

and exploded on contact.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Shockwaves blasted outward.

Soldiers were thrown back.

"Fall back," Mohji ordered lazily.

As the smoke cleared—

no corpses remained.

The crows dissolved—

into black matter—

and gathered.

Forming—

a human shape.

Karasu.

"Coal…"

Mohji sniffed.

Recognition flashed.

Then—

he grinned.

"A Logia user, huh?"

"Now this might actually be fun."

His aura surged—

feral and violent.

Karasu remained expressionless—

but his gaze sharpened.

At that moment—

Reis Max and the others arrived.

Mohji barely glanced at them.

Uninterested.

"Who are you?"

"…Whatever. I'll just kill you all."

He cracked his knuckles.

Reis Max stepped forward calmly.

"I've got a gift."

He opened the box.

"YOU BASTARDS!!"

"I'LL KILL YOU!!"

"JUST WAIT—!"

Buggy's furious shouting erupted.

Mohji froze.

"…Captain Buggy?"

Buggy snapped to attention.

"MOHJI! GET ME OUT OF HERE!!"
