This completely bewildered the smurf and the feline hooded figures. The smurf thought they had been betrayed once again, as they had just been backstabbed by Lorgar's Word Bearers Legion on Calth, and now enemy forces were launching a large-scale landing assault on Macragge. The hooded figures, seeing their own flagship suddenly launch drop pods at Macragge and the orbital defense system's cannons turning towards them, thought their Thirteenth Uncle was trying to declare independence.
Fortunately, Lion ElJonson managed to calm Guilliman down before both sides opened fire. Guilliman nearly fainted when he found out, but Konrad Curze also took advantage of the chaos to successfully escape to the surface of Macragge.
Subsequently, Macragge lived in constant fear; civilians, Space Marine, and even tanks were not exempt from being dismembered by the Space batman. Konrad Curze came and went freely, leaving no trace on this Kharon, which was filled with three Space Marine Legions, until Lion and Guilliman personally intervened and found the Eighth Brother's tracks in a temple.
However, Konrad Curze, relying on his many years of asymmetrical warfare experience, managed to hold his own against the Lion El'Jonson and Guilliman in a two-on-one fight, and Lion even hindered Guilliman. (GW's official novel states that the Lion El'Jonson was like sleepwalking in this battle).
Konrad Curze directly clawed open the Lion El'Jonson's throat, and finally stated that he had deliberately exposed himself to lure his two brothers there, only to bury them alive in this temple, which was pre-rigged with explosives. Then he lit the fuse and fled.
What Konrad Curze didn't know was that the Lion El'Jonson and Grandpa Blue, by virtue of their strong brotherhood, miraculously escaped! However, they escaped a bit too far; they were teleported to other worlds by Barbarus Dantius and couldn't return for a while. Therefore, Macragge could only be left to Konrad Curze's mercy for the time being.
So he chose to go have a "heart-to-heart" talk with Guilliman's adoptive mother. Konrad Curze originally intended to scare the old lady with his three-meter-tall, blood-stained, pale-faced, and clearly mentally unstable smile.
And this trick did work for a few seconds, after which Guilliman's adoptive mother, Lady Eudon, told him to sit down and stop making a fuss, just like she would a child. A mortal daring to talk back made Konrad very unhappy, but he didn't have time to dwell on it, because a Vulkan suddenly rushed out from somewhere.
After escaping the maze, Vulkan also inexplicably teleported himself to Macragge, but due to a slight malfunction in Konrad Curze's maze's anti-teleportation device, the teleportation location changed to several kilometers outside the atmosphere, after which he began to burn violently during freefall.
The Ultramarines were startled by the nearly carbonized giant skeleton that fell from the sky. They sent it to the medical center for an autopsy, only to watch as the unrecognizable remains regenerated into their beloved Eighteenth Uncle.
This death seemed to be the final straw that broke Vulkan's spirit, and somehow established a connection between him and Konrad Curze, allowing him to rush out of the medical facility immediately after regaining consciousness, heading straight for Konrad, who was about to ambush the old lady.
batman and the Hulk began a chase on the streets of Macragge. Konrad Curze seemed to have overcome the frustration of being unable to kill Vulkan, and began to gleefully calculate the time required for each of Vulkan's resurrections.
However, under the interference of the Cult, this duel was inconclusive. Konrad Curze was temporarily dragged into the Warp, returning to Macragge several months later in real-world time.
Returning to the real universe, Konrad Curze hijacked Azkaellon, captain of the Sanguinary Guard, as a hostage, demanding that Sanguinius talk to him, and The Great Angel complied.
However, before the conversation began, the two engaged in a very cool but completely meaningless battle. They both possessed precognition, knew each other's next move, and knew how their own and each other's fates would end. So Konrad Curze laughed while fighting, saying that their fighting here was a pure waste of time, but Sanguinius still couldn't resist hitting him a couple of times.
The two fought for a long time without inflicting any damage on each other. Konrad Curze grew annoyed and confessed that he really just wanted to talk to Ninth Brother. Then he brought up the theory that the Emperor deliberately scattered the Primarchs, and that the location and manner in which each Primarch was raised were all intentionally arranged by the Emperor.
To Konrad Curze's surprise, the Angel Sister was quite in agreement with Konrad Curze's conspiracy theory. Sanguinius stated that he also didn't believe the Primarchs' disappearance was accidental, and also agreed that the Emperor had indeed hidden many things from the Primarchs, but these suspicions could not change his view of the Emperor or the Imperium, which was that although the Emperor deceived many people, his plan for all humanity was undoubtedly well-intentioned.
The Angel Sister's magnanimity greatly angered Konrad Curze. He told Ninth Brother to kill him now to prove that the future could be changed, but Sanguinius, out of pity, did not deliver the fatal blow. For Konrad Curze at this moment, living was more painful than dying, not only because he was pitied by his brother, but also because Sanguinius's action proved that the future could not be changed.
The enraged Konrad Curze immediately began to vent his anger on Azkaellon; he dismembered the unfortunate captain and threw him out the window to attract Sanguinius's attention, and on his escape route, he blew up a group of Sanguinary Guard.
Although Macragge at this time was garrisoned by three Space Marine Legions, making it one of the most heavily defended locations in the entire The Galaxy / Milky Way, Konrad Curze could still move freely. This severely damaged the pride of Lion, who was the Warmaster of the Second Imperium.
To catch this super flying mouse, the enraged Big Cat declared martial law and brought in the "Deathwing" Company of the First Legion, also known as the "Overkill Special Operations Team," to conduct a widespread hunt.
When he received news that Konrad had been in Illyria on Macragge, a separatist territory that had never truly accepted the rule of King Conor and Guilliman, inciting rebellion, Lion reneged on his promise to Guilliman, ordering the Legion fleet to carpet bomb the mountainous area where he was located using cluster bombs and torpedoes disguised as landing pods and and assault boats.
The Lion El'Jonson once again faced him alone, deciding to place himself in the trap Konrad had set for him, hoping to draw out his brother, and then he and the Deathwing Company would completely surround Konrad Curze.
