Seres Star is the planet where the Eleventh Primarch arrived. It is remarkably similar to Terra, with an habitable environment and vast land distribution. The planet's civilization is in a period of war similar to China's Wei, Jin, Southern, and Northern Dynasties, with continuous warfare across regions, separatist forces rising one after another, and a chaotic and diverse civilizational structure.
There are multiple nations on the planet that emulate ancient Eastern dynasties, advocating Confucianism and ritual law, with stable monarchical rule, but fierce internal power struggles among powerful officials. The gentry class's struggle for power is intertwined with the vigorous development of thought and culture.
Nomadic tribes have also risen in the grasslands and deserts, with cultural influences similar to the Xiongnu, Xianbei, and Jurchens spreading across the central plains and border regions.
In the island and coastal areas, there are shogun-style nations with feudal rule based on Bushido and religious beliefs, which both conflict with and integrate with the ritualistic culture of the central plains.
The planet's civilization is at a technological level similar to Earth's mid-19th century. Firearms and muzzle-loading cannons have been around for many years, but cold weapons and cavalry still hold important positions on the battlefield. Various nations combine traditional martial arts, cold weapons, and modern firearms to form a unique style of warfare.
The Eleventh Primarch was thrown from the storms of the Warp into the central region of this planet. His birthplace was a vast plain and a dynasty's pass, which was once the Core Area of a powerful dynasty, but is now occupied by fragmented warlords and foreign invaders, with continuous warfare and widespread suffering.
When the Primarch was discovered, he was rescued from the ruins by a marching team of border Soldiers. When the border Guardians brought the infant before Commander Gaius, a general nearing fifty, he had already given up hope for his family's legacy.
Gaius was a seasoned military strategist, having fought many battles, but he regretted not having a child to carry on his family line.
The moment he saw Gaius, his heart trembled; this heaven-sent infant seemed like a gift from the heavens. He regarded Gaius as his own flesh and blood, raising him to adulthood with the best resources.
Gaius named him "Gaius," meaning "Gao family's peace and prosperity." (A combination of Gao Huan and Yuwen Tai)
