Three hours later, Freya was getting into Xavier's car while Peri yelled at her not to forget her promise. She nodded her head in agreement before closing the car door, exhaustion gripping her body.
Her social battery was completely drained, but Freya didn't mind too much. She had a great time chatting, well really listening, to the others. She had learnt much about this world through their lens.
And for the first time, she felt that she was really adjusting in this new world. She could relax for a bit and didn't have to think too much about how to move around all this world's differences.
At least for the most part.
It was a nice break from reality and she had made friends with Peri and Mandy. They had found commonality in watching shows and had promised to meet up for lunch some time.
"Who was that?" Xavier suddenly asked as they drove off, breaking Freya's train of thought.
