Chapter 502 - Chapter 501: The Yama’s Complaint

Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu could only feel helpless.

The moment she arrived, she had been pulled straight into Izumi's arms.

Did this man have no sense of propriety at all?

She had originally intended to lecture him properly.

But after remembering that Izumi was hopelessly fond of cute girls, she immediately gave up.

Trying to reason with him was a waste of effort.

In the end, she could only endure it while he happily treated her like a plush toy.

Only after Izumi was completely satisfied did he finally let her go.

Eiki's face was bright red as she straightened her clothes and glared at him.

Then she immediately got to the point.

"Why haven't the souls of those sinners arrived in the underworld?"

"What exactly did you do?"

"Where did all those souls go?"

"I've been waiting for ages!"

"Not a single one has appeared!"

Then her eyes narrowed suspiciously.

"Don't tell me you created another underworld?"

"Are you trying to remove me from my position as Yama?"

"Honestly, you're so unreliable!"

Hearing her accusations, Izumi almost laughed.

"Wouldn't it be better if I didn't send those people to you?"

"Do you really want even more work?"

"And the people the angels eliminated were all extremely sinful individuals."

"Their deaths aren't exactly a tragedy."

Eiki immediately puffed out her cheeks in dissatisfaction.

"But souls belong to the underworld."

"Aren't you disrupting the natural order?"

The stubborn little Yama refused to back down.

In her eyes, every soul should pass through the proper channels.

Izumi sighed helplessly.

"Come on."

"They're already dead."

"What more do you want?"

To his surprise, Eiki blinked and answered without hesitation.

"Why not?"

"If they're sinners, then they should be sent to Hell."

"They should receive proper punishment."

"Letting them disappear so easily is far too lenient."

Izumi froze.

Then black lines practically appeared across his forehead.

So that was her real complaint.

She wasn't upset that they had died.

She was upset because they had escaped Hell.

This girl was even more ruthless than he was.

After silently complaining to himself for a moment, Izumi rubbed his temples.

"If you really don't mind the increased workload…"

"I could change the angels' directives."

"Instead of destroying souls outright, they could leave them intact and send them to the underworld."

"Then you can let them enjoy all the suffering Hell has to offer."

The moment she heard that, Eiki's eyes sparkled.

"Exactly!"

"That's how it should be!"

"They must be punished properly!"

"It's decided."

"Hurry up and issue the order."

"We can't allow the system to fall into disorder."

Looking at her eager expression, Izumi could not help feeling speechless.

This girl was terrifying.

She had become excited far too quickly.

"Fine, fine."

"If that's what you want, I'll make the adjustment."

With a snap of his fingers, new commands spread throughout the artificial angel network.

As their highest authority, Izumi could alter their directives instantly.

No approval was needed from anyone else.

Not only the artificial angels—

Even the Ex-Machina units carrying out similar duties received the updated instructions.

From now on, they were to exercise restraint.

Destroy the criminals if necessary, but preserve their souls.

Every condemned soul would be delivered directly to the underworld.

Eiki immediately beamed with delight.

Seeing her so happy, Izumi shook his head helplessly.

It really reminded him how misleading first impressions could be.

The versions of these characters he had once known from stories and games could never fully capture who they truly were.

Whoever thought Eiki was merely a rigid and serious judge had clearly missed something important.

She was also surprisingly ruthless.

After dismissing the thought, Izumi stopped dwelling on it.

Noticing him shaking his head, Eiki frowned.

"Izumi-sama…"

"Were you just thinking about something strange?"

"I have a feeling you were thinking something bad."

Hearing that, Izumi immediately reached over and patted her head.

"Enough."

"Go back to work."

"Keep talking like this and I'll make you bear my child."

The sudden statement hit Eiki like a lightning bolt.

"Y-Y-Y-You…!"

Her face instantly turned crimson.

She stared at him in complete shock.

Never in her wildest dreams had she expected the man she admired to say something like that.

For a moment, her mind went completely blank.

Seeing her reaction, Izumi sighed.

"Any problems?"

To his surprise, Eiki lowered her gaze and began fidgeting nervously.

"It's… not impossible…"

"If it's Izumi-sama…"

"I-I…"

Her voice became quieter and quieter.

She twisted her fingers together shyly, unable to meet his eyes.

This time, it was Izumi's turn to freeze.

Wait.

She was serious?

What?!

Without hesitation, he flicked her forehead.

"Ow!"

Eiki immediately covered her head.

Then Izumi spoke with complete seriousness.

"I'm joking."

"Have you completely lost your mind?"

"And besides…"

He looked at the tiny Yama from head to toe and shook his head.

"You're way too young."
