Kami's Lookout.
Time seemed to stretch endlessly.
Waiting was the most unbearable torment—
Especially when everyone knew that an enemy capable of destroying everything was drawing closer.
Android 18 glanced sideways at Loren.
"You're really relaxed."
Loren lay back, a blade of grass between his lips, replying lazily,
"What's the point of being anxious?"
"What's coming will come no matter what."
"Might as well enjoy the quiet while it lasts."
He glanced at her.
"Relax. I'm here."
Android 18 nodded and quietly sat beside him.
Suddenly—
A white, futuristic machine appeared in the wilderness below.
Trunks' time machine.
Cell had returned from a parallel world.
Click.
The hatch slowly opened.
A figure stepped out.
At this moment, Ultimate Lightning Cell looked elegant and terrifying.
His body was no longer just green and purple—
Dense, lightning-like black patterns crawled across his entire frame.
Cell floated into the air and greedily inhaled.
"Ah… what fresh air."
Whoosh—!
His figure vanished instantly.
Central City — Royal Castle
The King was leisurely enjoying his afternoon tea.
The weather was pleasant.
State affairs were proceeding smoothly.
Just as he reached for another biscuit—
BOOM—!!!
The castle's dome was torn apart.
Sunlight, debris, and dust poured down.
The King and his guards stared in horror at the demonic figure descending from above.
"W-who are you?!" the captain of the guards shouted, raising his weapon with trembling hands.
Cell casually snapped his fingers.
Poof.
The captain—and more than a dozen elite guards behind him—instantly turned to ash.
Silence swallowed the hall.
The King's teacup slipped from his hand and shattered.
"I apologize for interrupting your tea time,"
Cell said politely, bowing like a noble.
"I'd like to borrow your television station."
"I wish to properly introduce myself to this lovely world."
Thirty Minutes Later
Every television.
Every phone screen.
Every outdoor display across the planet—
Was forcibly switched to the same image.
The ruined royal hall.
Ultimate Lightning Cell, seated on the throne.
Behind him, the pale King trembled uncontrollably.
"Good evening, people of Earth."
Cell's voice spread to every corner of the world.
"My name is Cell."
Across the globe, countless people froze in disbelief.
A movie promotion?
A prank?
"I know many of you feel confused…"
"Perhaps even… disdainful."
Cell chuckled softly.
"So, to help you accept reality more quickly…"
"I've prepared a small gift."
He raised one finger.
The broadcast split into multiple windows.
Each showed a bustling city from above.
West City.
North City.
South City.
People recognized their homes.
Unease spread instantly.
"Let's start here."
Cell tapped one window.
A faint, nearly invisible dark-purple beam fell from the sky.
That city—
Buildings, people, everything—
Was silently erased.
Leaving behind a smooth, mirror-like crater.
The world went silent.
Then—
Another tap.
A second city vanished.
A third.
A fourth.
This was not a movie.
This was reality.
"AAAAAH—!!!"
Someone finally screamed.
Panic exploded across the planet.
People fled like headless chickens.
Sirens, screams, and crashes merged into an apocalyptic symphony.
Cell watched with pleasure.
"I've decided to give you pathetic worms a chance."
"A chance to challenge me."
He stood and spread his arms.
"In one day…"
"I will host the Cell Games."
"Gather your courage."
"If you defeat me, this world regains its freedom."
"If you fail…"
A cruel smile appeared.
"I will personally erase this planet."
The broadcast ended.
But the world would never return to normal.
Kami's Lookout
The atmosphere was suffocating.
Loren walked over to Gohan.
"Do you feel it?"
"This is what it means to carry the weight of the world."
"It's heavy."
Gohan didn't reply.
He simply clenched his fists slowly.
One Day Later
A massive deserted island.
A square fighting ring stood alone at its center.
On the ring, Ultimate Lightning Cell sat cross-legged, eyes closed.
Patient.
Calm.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Figures landed one after another.
Goku.
Vegeta.
Gohan.
Piccolo.
Krillin.
The Z Fighters had arrived.
Loren landed last, yawning.
He sat on a clean rock beside Android 18.
"They really went all out with the theatrics," he muttered.
Just then—
A cold mechanical voice echoed in his mind.
[Ding! A major event determining Earth's fate—the Cell Games—has been detected!]
[The God-level selection system has been triggered. Please make your choice, Host.]
Two light screens appeared.
[Choice One: Of the thirty-six stratagems, retreat is supreme! This place is dangerous. Immediately use Instant Transmission to flee with Android 18.
Reward: None.
Title gained: [Cosmic Coward].]
[Choice Two: Eliminate the threat at its source! Participate in the Cell Games and completely resolve Ultimate Lightning Cell.
Reward: Host's base combat power increases by 50,000,000.]
Loren curled his lips.
"Is that even a choice?"
"Run away?"
"How would I face Android 18 after that?"
"System—Choice Two."
[Ding! Choice confirmed! Reward issued!]
Boom!
A warm current surged through Loren's body.
His base strength climbed again.
Just then—
Vroooom—!
The roar of an engine echoed from the sky.
A massive flying vehicle painted with the words "Mr. Satan" descended, kicking up clouds of dust as it landed nearby.
