"You're going to fight him alone?! No! That's too dangerous!"

After that, Goku stopped paying attention to them and faced Majin Buu alone.

Buu blinked.
"You're going to play with me all by yourself?"

Goku grinned, showing his familiar bright smile.

Buu tilted his head, finding the idea amusing.

He sat down cross-legged, resting his chin on his hands like a child waiting for a show.
Goku took a deep breath.

A low growl escaped his throat.
The ki inside his body began to surge violently.

Golden flames of ki erupted skyward.

Silver-white lightning coiled around his body.

The ground began to shake violently.

Goku let out an earth-shattering roar!
The ground beneath his feet cracked inch by inch!
His golden hair began to grow wildly, extending all the way down to his waist.
His brow bones protruded, and his eyebrows—
Vanished.
An aura several times stronger than before exploded outward!
Super Saiyan Three!
"The same transformation Loren used back then…"

This would be enough to defeat Majin Buu.

Gohan stared blankly at his father.

Goku didn't pause for even a second and vanished again in pursuit.

Violent explosions echoed continuously from deep underground.
With the overwhelming power of Super Saiyan Three, Goku suppressed Buu for a short time.
Punches.
Kicks.
Ki blasts.
Buu's body was shattered again and again.

Majin Buu's regeneration was absolute.
No matter how badly he was damaged, he recovered instantly.
Sweat began to pour down Goku's face.
Super Saiyan Three consumed far too much stamina.

Goku dropped to one knee, gasping for breath.

A gigantic, bottomless, fan-shaped crater stretched into the distance.

Was gone.
"D-did… did it work?"
Krillin asked shakily.
Even the Supreme Kai widened his eyes.

He was really annihilated?
Just then—
A wisp of pink smoke rose from the center of the crater.
Then another.
Then another.
Countless wisps appeared from all directions, drawn together by an unseen force.
They condensed.
Writhed.
Merged.
Everyone's hearts sank.
In less than three seconds—
The pink fat figure reappeared.
Completely unharmed.
Buu clapped his hands happily.
"I want to play more."
Despair spread through everyone's hearts.
"How… how is this possible…"
Goku stared blankly.
His golden aura flickered violently.
His waist-length hair rapidly shrank.
In the end, he reverted to his normal black-haired state.
He could no longer maintain Super Saiyan Three.
"Hahahahahahaha!"
Babidi suddenly jumped out from behind a pile of rubble, his face twisted with triumph.
"Did you see that, you idiots?!"
"My Majin Buu is invincible!"
"Game over!"
Babidi's smile turned cruel.
"Buu! I command you!"
"Kill them all! Every last one!"
"Hm?"
Buu looked at the exhausted Goku.
He waddled over with quick da-da-da steps.
"You're not playing anymore?"
He poked Goku's cheek with a finger.
"That's boring."
"Hey! Buu!"
Babidi, completely ignored, turned red with rage.
"Didn't you hear my command?!"
"I told you to kill them! Now! Immediately!"
Babidi shrieked hysterically.
Buu turned his head and glanced at Babidi, impatience flashing across his innocent face.
