Sacrifice Brain Magic Array
In Kara's apartment.
Tel-Rol was sprawled on the soft sofa.
He held a Hawaiian pizza in his left hand and the remote control in his right, aimlessly flipping through channels.
On the TV screen, it jumped from a melodramatic family drama to a children's educational animation, then flashed past the sizzling meat of a cooking show.
"Tsk, so boring… I'm going to rust."
He stuffed the last bite of pizza into his mouth, mumbling indistinctly.
Just as he was about to close his eyes and enjoy a decadent capitalist nap, a powerful aura descended without warning.
The fluctuation of the aura came from the direction of Gotham City.
Tel-Rol froze.
The lazy, hollow look in his eyes slowly gathered focus again.
A perverted… no, a healthy smile, gradually spread across his lips.
"Oh, he's here!"
He muttered to himself, tossing the pizza box into the trash can, and sprang up from the sofa with a carp jump.
He walked barefoot straight to the balcony, leaped, and flew rapidly towards Gotham.
Meanwhile, in the Batcave beneath Gotham City.
"Bruce! He's here!"
Victor had just struggled out of a wall, his face full of anxiety.
On a platform not far away, an ancient metal cube was humming softly, its surface patterns twisting rhythmically.
mother box.
Victor ignored his own injuries, rushed over, and hugged the restless cube.
"I've already signaled the others! It will take time for them to get here!"
He shouted at Bruce and Diana nearby.
"We're on our own! I'll take it first, you two follow!"
With a loud bang in the sky, the entire Batcave shook violently, and rocks from the ceiling crumbled down.
An energy channel tore open above the cave.
Diana drew her long sword, holding it in front of her, her expression serious.
Bruce, looking at the rapidly forming teleportation channel, was unusually calm.
"Alright! You two go first! I'll be right there!"
He nodded at Victor and Diana, then turned and ran towards the deeper areas of the Batcave.
Victor and Diana exchanged glances, no longer hesitating.
They both knew that once that thing descended in the center of Gotham City, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Victor, holding the mother box, had blue flames spewing from his thrusters, and was the first to fly out of the cave.
Diana followed closely, forming a graceful arc as she disappeared at the exit.
Almost the exact second they left.
"Boom!"
A figure descended from the sky, crashing into the center of the Batcave, cracking the ground.
The newcomer was tall, covered in grotesque silver metal armor, with a pair of curved giant horns on his head, and wielding a battle-axe emitting scorching energy.
Steppenwolf.
He looked around, saw two fleeing specks of light in the distance, and the enticing aura emanating from the metal cube.
He took a step, preparing to pursue.
"Hey! Minotaur!"
A deep voice came from the shadows.
"You destroyed my cave, and you think you can just leave?"
Steppenwolf stopped and looked back.
Bruce Wayne emerged from the darkness.
But he was no longer wearing the anti-Superman suit.
A brand new armor covered his entire body, with lines even smoother and simpler than the previous generation.
It was a deep dark gray, made of the latest vibranium material, reflecting a cold luster in the dim light of the cave.
Most striking was the bat symbol on his chest, which was no longer pure black.
It was a dazzling golden Great Bat crafted from vibranium.
Steppenwolf had no interest in the human before him, full of disdain.
Bruce didn't waste words.
His back thrusters suddenly activated, and he swiftly closed the distance to Steppenwolf's face.
His vibranium-clad gauntlet, whistling through the air, struck directly at Steppenwolf's face.
However, Steppenwolf merely raised his left hand casually.
"Bang!"
Bruce's punch was easily caught by him.
The recoil from the punch made the bones in Bruce's arm groan.
Bruce reacted extremely quickly, using his waist to generate power, twisting his body in the air, and delivering a fierce whip kick to Steppenwolf's face.
Steppenwolf didn't even bother to block.
"Thud!"
A solid kick landed squarely on his faceplate.
As a result, Steppenwolf didn't budge, but Bruce felt his leg was about to break.
The damage caused was approximately zero.
"Insect."
Steppenwolf spat disdainfully, grabbed Bruce's wrist, and flung him hard.
Bruce was sent flying uncontrollably, crashing into a row of expensive Bat-computers.
Sparks flew, and screens instantly exploded.
Steppenwolf didn't even bother to look at him again, turning to leave.
Just then, several sharp whooshing sounds came.
Several batarangs accurately struck the back of Steppenwolf's head.
There were a few crisp clangs, but not even a white mark was left.
This attack was not even a tickle to Steppenwolf.
But this provocative act made him somewhat angry.
A tiny human, provoking him repeatedly.
Steppenwolf turned around and saw the human, who should have been unable to get up, standing once again.
Bruce leaned on the smashed control panel, slowly straightening his body.
He reached out and pressed the golden bat symbol on his chest.
"Click."
The symbol detached with a sound.
He held the golden bat symbol in his hands and broke it in half.
"Snap!"
The symbol split down the middle.
Bruce flicked his wrists, and two cold lights flashed.
The original bat symbol extended and transformed into two broad-bladed greatswords, over a meter long.
The golden blades gleamed in the light.
"Did I tell you to leave, Minotaur?"
Bruce held a sword in each hand, adopting an attack stance.
Looking at the human who didn't know his place, Steppenwolf's face showed a cruel smile.
Bruce activated his thrusters again, moving even faster than before.
Like a black lightning bolt, he leaped high, crossing his swords, and brought them down fiercely on Steppenwolf's head.
Steppenwolf raised his battle-axe.
"Clang—!"
A deafening crash.
The twin swords collided with the battle-axe, erupting in blinding sparks.
Bruce felt an irresistible force coming from the sword handles, and his tiger's mouth instantly split open.
He was sent flying backward.
With a "thud," he was slammed hard against the solid rock wall of the Batcave.
The immense force created a human-shaped dent in the wall, embedding him so deeply he couldn't be pried out.
"Zzz… zzzzz…"
A strange electrical sound came from the armor, and the golden symbol on his chest and the lights in his eyes flickered a few times, then completely extinguished.
"Warning, energy depleted."
"Warning, external armor severely damaged."
System prompts sounded in his helmet.
Bruce tried to move, but his body was completely unresponsive.
"F*ck…"
He squeezed out a word through gritted teeth.
"Next time… I definitely need to talk to that bastard Tony… about the energy problem."
Steppenwolf retracted his battle-axe, not even bothering to look at the "Bat-specimen" on the wall again.
He took a great leap, shooting up, smashing through the rock layer at the top of the cave, and pursued in the direction the mother box had fled.
Only the smashed equipment, reduced to scrap metal, and Bruce Wayne, embedded in the wall and unable to move, remained in the Batcave.
