Chapter 101 - 100

"Sorry I'm late, Daniel Wu and Yifei, something came up."

High above New York, the massive kree warship could no longer withstand the violent energy raging within it.

A blinding purple light emanated from the center of the warship, and then the entire vessel, like a broken cookie, silently disintegrated.

Huge metal fragments and burning debris rained down on New York City.

"Holy crap! Look at the sky!"

"That big ship broke apart!"

On the ground, heroes and soldiers evacuating the crowd all witnessed this scene.

Inside Tony's armor, j.a.r.v.i.s. issued an alert.

"Sir, large-scale high-energy debris detected falling, recommend activating city defense grid."

"Too late! Tell the others to intercept them, don't let that stuff hit anyone!"

Tony cursed, changed direction, and blasted a football-field-sized deck into smithereens with his palm repulsor.

Kent Farm, Kansas.

Two streaks of light, one red and one blue, descended from the sky.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

Clark and Kara slammed heavily into the ground, their feet carving two deep craters into the soil.

They looked at the scene before them, their expressions grim.

Where a metal defensive wall should have stood, there was now only a pile of twisted, abandoned metal.

The high-tech defensive facilities Bruce had installed had clearly not lasted long before being completely dismantled.

They exchanged glances and hurried into the wooden house.

Upon entering, they saw a figure casually sitting on the living room sofa, legs crossed.

It was Fiona.

When she saw Clark and Kara, the playful expression on her face became even more pronounced.

"You're back?"

Her tone was like welcoming family members home.

Clark ignored her, his figure a blur, using his super speed to run a circuit around the entire farm, including the basement.

Nothing.

His adoptive parents and Lois were all gone.

Clark reappeared before Fiona, his usually gentle face now clouded with anger.

"Fiona! Where did you take them?"

His voice was laced with suppressed fury.

Fiona raised her hand, admiring her neatly manicured nails.

She shifted into a more comfortable position, resting her arm on the back of the sofa, an expression of nonchalance on her face.

"Do you even need to ask?"

"Of course, I took them to meet General Zod."

Clark and Kara exchanged a glance, their hearts sinking.

Without another word, they turned to shoot into the sky.

But just as they turned, Fiona, who had been lazily sitting on the sofa, moved.

The sofa beneath her shattered instantly, wood splinters and cotton flying everywhere.

Her figure transformed into a black lightning bolt.

"Thud!"

Kara felt a sharp pain in her back, and her entire body flew forward uncontrollably as Fiona's hand chop struck her back.

At the same time, Fiona delivered a swift spinning kick, slamming into the back of Clark's head.

"Thump!"

Clark stumbled, falling forward, his face plowing several meters across the ground before he stopped.

This sudden, swift exchange was so fast that neither Superman had time to react.

Fiona slowly walked to the doorway, swaying her body, and leaned against the doorframe.

She looked at the disheveled pair and said contemptuously:

"Did I tell you to leave?"

"My two Kryptonian compatriots."

She paused, her words laced with mockery.

"Oh, wait, I should call you traitors!"

Kara burst out of the cornfield, her golden hair stained with a bit of dirt, and hovered in mid-air, glaring at Fiona.

She landed beside Clark.

"Clark, you go first! I'll hold her off!"

Clark had just gotten up from the ground, shaking his still-dizzy head, and was about to follow Kara forward.

"No! We go together!"

"Have you forgotten Lois's condition?!"

Kara sharply stopped him.

"She's just a normal person! Every second we delay, she's in more danger!"

This statement awakened Clark.

Yes, he and Kara could endure, but Lois and his parents couldn't.

No sooner had Kara finished speaking than her entire body transformed into a blue light, fiercely colliding with Fiona.

Fiona sneered and met her head-on.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The two female Supermen began a fierce struggle on the farm, the sonic booms from their colliding fists and feet incessant.

Their speed was so great that ordinary people could only see two shadows, one black and one blue, constantly colliding and separating.

Clark watched this scene, clenching his jaw.

He had to find Zod's spaceship as quickly as possible!

He closed his eyes, and his super hearing instantly expanded, the sounds of the entire North American continent flooding his mind.

Soon, he detected the engine sound of an airship on the northern horizon.

Found it!

Clark no longer hesitated, glanced at the fiercely battling Kara, and shot upward, leaving a deafening sonic boom cloud, disappearing into the sky.

Queens, New York City.

"Hey, Little Spider, who do you think set off that big firework? It was pretty, wasn't it?"

Deadpool dodged small falling spaceship debris while still having the leisure to chat with Spider-Man next to him.

"Wade! What time is it?! Can't you be serious!"

Peter Parker swung on his web, rescuing a little girl about to be hit by a falling billboard to safety.

"I am serious."

Deadpool pulled out a burrito and took a big bite.

"I'm seriously thinking about whether to eat barbecue or pizza after this fight."

Peter shot out another web, "Let's go eat pizza!"

Just then.

"Boom—!!"

A blue figure crashed down from high in the sky, landing squarely in a street park not far behind them, creating a large crater in the ground.

The park benches and flowerbeds were smashed to smithereens.

Peter and Deadpool jumped in surprise, simultaneously turning to look.

As the smoke and dust cleared, a tall figure with blue skin and tattered armor, covered in dirt, was climbing out of the pit.

It was Ronan.

His body was covered in scorch marks from energy blasts.

He looked up at the completely disintegrated kree warship in the sky and let out a roar of unwilling fury.

"Kryptonian!!"

"I, Ronan! Am not done with you!!"

He roared at the top of his lungs, his voice audible throughout the entire block.

Peter Parker assumed a fighting stance, his eyes under the mask fixed on this uninvited guest.

"This guy... looks like he fell off that ship?"

Deadpool beside him, however, widened his eyes.

"Holy crap! Little Spider! We hit the jackpot!"

"He's the kree leader! The one named Ronan! I've seen his projection on TV!"

Deadpool had the expression of someone who had discovered treasure.

"Let's get him!"

Before he finished speaking, Deadpool raised his dual katanas and charged forward, yelling.

"Wade! Wait! We don't know yet..."

Peter tried to stop him, but it was too late.

Ronan had just finished roaring and hadn't even had time to catch his breath when he saw a lunatic in a red and black suit charging at him with two swords.

"You're asking for death!"

Although Ronan was severely injured, he was not someone just any cat or dog could provoke. He raised his hand to strike.

"Whoosh!"

Just then, white webs shot from another direction, wrapping around his arms, body, and legs.

Ronan, caught off guard, was bound tightly and unable to move.

"What the hell is this stuff!"

Ronan struggled, but the webs were incredibly tough, and the more he struggled, the tighter they became.

After shooting his webs, Peter swung over and landed in front of Ronan.

"Sorry, big guy, no matter who you are, you're coming with us today."

Meanwhile, Deadpool had already rushed to Ronan, swinging his dual katanas, and began hacking at Ronan's forehead.

"Clang clang clang clang!"

"That's for being fierce! That's for destroying public property! That's for being uglier than me!"

"That's for not paying your property fees!"

Ronan, bound and unable to move, could only endure the hacking, so angry that his blue face almost turned purple.

He, the Supreme Accuser of the Kree Empire, a notorious figure throughout the universe, was actually subdued by a chatterbox and a kid in pajamas?

If this got out, how could he ever show his face in the universe again?
