Tel-Rol scratched the back of his head, staring at the flashing purple stone in his palm.
This thing was indeed powerful; one punch shattered an enemy, much more efficient than him charging up and firing a wave.
But he quickly pouted.
If he got used to it, he'd be too lazy to even think when fighting. What fun would that be?
He slapped his forehead, thinking of a perfect candidate.
"It's decided! It's you!"
The three finished their Spanish barbecue, burping contentedly.
The barbecue restaurant owner looked at the empty storeroom, then at the stack of plates taller than a person, and his jaw dropped.
It was as if locusts had passed through.
Not long after, in the center of the devastated area, the three found Tony Stark directing his Iron Legion in rescue efforts.
Dozens of robots of different models were methodically moving giant rocks and searching for survivors with extremely high efficiency.
"Hey, Tony, busy day today?"
Tel-Rol said, hands in his pockets, whistling and teasing.
Tony's Iron Man armor landed, and his faceplate clicked open, revealing a face etched with "exhaustion."
"You bet."
"This spectacular scene is at least half your doing," Tony said, pointing to the plowed-up streets around them.
Upon hearing this, Tel-Rol not only showed no embarrassment but puffed out his chest with pride.
"It's alright, it's alright. I mainly held back."
"Otherwise, this area might have just disappeared from Earth."
Tony looked at his shameless expression, his mouth twitching, deciding not to bother with this guy whose brain circuits weren't normal.
"So, what do you want?"
"It can't be that you came all this way just to inspect my work progress."
Tel-Rol chuckled, spreading his right hand.
The gem, emitting an eerie purple glow, lay quietly in his palm.
"Help me get something to store this thing for now."
The fatigue on Tony's face vanished, his eyes widened in extreme shock.
"The power stone!"
He lunged forward, staring intently at the stone, his breathing becoming rapid.
Now it was Tel-Rol's turn to be a little surprised.
"Oh? You know this thing?"
Tony nodded, his expression serious as he quickly explained the origin of the Infinity Stones and the terrifying power they contained.
Tel-Rol's summary after listening was one sentence: This thing is awesome and can destroy the world.
Soon, an Iron Man armor descended from the sky, delivering a precisely designed cylindrical metal canister.
Tel-Rol casually tossed the power stone inside.
Tony carefully closed the lid, and the metal canister emitted a series of complex mechanical locking sounds. The patterns on its surface lit up and then extinguished, completely isolating the wild energy.
"I'll leave it with you for now."
Tel-Rol patted Tony's shoulder, his tone relaxed and casual.
"When I feel like playing with it, I'll come back for it."
Tony looked at him, opened his mouth, and thought: one of the most dangerous weapons in the universe, just handed over to him for safekeeping so casually?
This trust came too suddenly.
Just then.
A black Chevrolet Suburban SUV screeched to a halt in front of them.
The car door opened, and Nick Fury and Maria Hill stepped out.
Fury's dark face was practically screaming, "I'm so annoyed."
Almost at the same time.
A dazzling golden stream of light, trailing a long exhaust plume, roared from the depths of the universe!
Boom!
A figure landed, kicking up a circle of air current and creating a shallow crater in the ground.
As the light dissipated, a golden-haired woman in a red, blue, and gold battle suit, looking heroic and valiant, appeared before everyone.
After landing, she didn't even look at the others, walking directly towards Nick Fury.
"Fury, I received your message."
"Where is the enemy?"
Her voice was cool and carried a soldier-like efficiency, her eyes sharp.
Fury rubbed his throbbing temples, his single eye full of fatigue.
"You're too late, Carol."
"The battle... is already over."
He sighed, turned sideways, and pointed to the shirtless man next to him, wearing floral shorts and flip-flops.
"Allow me to introduce you. This is one of the heroes who just saved Earth, Tel-Rol."
He then pointed to Carol Danvers.
"Ter, this is Captain Marvel, Carol."
Carol's gaze fell on Tel-Rol.
She sized up this seemingly laid-back guy, her brows slightly furrowed.
She sensed a vast power emanating from him that even startled her: wild, primal, and full of aggression.
On the other side, Tel-Rol was also observing her.
"Hooah! Very strong!"
His eyes lit up. The energy contained within this woman was very strong, on the same level as Zod.
No! Much stronger than that guy!
Good! This is great!
Fury watched the increasingly awkward atmosphere between the two, his heart thumping.
If it were a romantic atmosphere, it would be fine, but these two clearly had an urge to fight.
"Hey, Carol, don't look at him like that! Ter, you rein it in too!"
"We can't afford another big battle right now!"
"What? A fight?"
Tel-Rol selectively ignored the first half of Fury's sentence, his eyes shining even brighter.
"Alright!"
Boom!
Golden ki flames surged from his body!
The surrounding air began to grow hot, and the shattered stones on the ground started to tremble slightly.
His entire demeanor transformed from a lazy beach tourist to a predator ready to hunt.
"You look sturdy. You should be able to take a few punches!"
Carol's eyes narrowed, and her body instinctively tensed. Her hands began to glow with golden light.
Just as the two were about to clash.
"Ter!"
Kara quickly ran over, grabbing his arm, her voice tinged with a hint of coquetry.
"Stop messing around... don't we... have something else to do later?"
Her face flushed, her voice growing softer and softer.
That terrifying aura, as if it could destroy the world, instantly... extinguished.
The golden light on Tel-Rol's body vanished without a trace, and he reverted to his lazy self.
He turned his head, looking at the blushing Kara, and grinned.
"Alright, alright."
He turned back, extended his hand towards Captain Marvel, a harmless smile on his face.
"Hello, hello. I'm Tel-Rol."
This sudden change in atmosphere stunned everyone present.
Captain Marvel looked at him, a confused expression on her face.
Tony Stark silently closed his faceplate, an expression of "I saw nothing" on his face.
Only Deadpool, who had somehow sidled over, muttered softly.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, it still takes a honey trap to easily get him..."
