In just two weeks, Roxy's stomach had swollen remarkably, rounding out into a heavy, beautiful, and incredibly cumbersome baby bump.
The sheer physical toll of carrying Torian's fast-growing White Tiger cub had forced Roxy into a state of semi-confinement.
Her lower back ached constantly, and her mobility had been drastically reduced. She could no longer chase after the twins, wrangle Drax's teenage attitude, or carry Iris and Tanith around the Manor.
To prevent the Kings from completely losing their minds with worry, Kaelen had sent a direct summons to the Wolf packs. He brought in Dena, a gentle, experienced female wolf from his pack, to act as a permanent nanny and helper.
Dena was a godsend. She kept the children entertained, managed their meals, and patrolled the ground floor, allowing Roxy to actually rest without feeling like the Manor was falling apart.
But resting didn't mean Roxy was completely docile.
